Little sunset/night bash. Gotta fix the flood light on the house. If we get it fixed it will make the whole yard lit up.
Awww man, I thought you meant you were going out to do some KNIGHT bashing. What a letdown.

Fitted some new boots to my sons Senton and tested them. They are cheap tyres from AliExpress but so far I'm liking them.

One of the old driveshaft uni's let go for the 2nd or 3rd time. So time for a new one.

Gotta love cheap ass Arrma driveshafts. That happens every time we run the Granite.

Seems to happen on my sons Senton whenever doing wheelies. Always the rear driveshaft that breaks. I keep spares.

Yep. Same here. Rears let go every time. It got to the point we don't even drive it anymore.

I have a few Arrma 3s 4x4 and it's not really an issue with the others. Then again, my sons Senton is the oldest.

It's a pity because it would only take a small amount of redesign and they would be reliable. The metal cross shaft pins of the uni's just need to be slightly longer or have them retained or mushroomed so they don't pull out of the plastic yoke.

It's the only part of the shaft that fails in my experience. Nothing actually breaks, just pulls apart.

Never had that happened on my Granite, back when I ran it regularly. I haven't used mine for a couple of years, but it's still the original and it has never even broke loose. I've only ever used mine on dirt though.

It happens whenever you get on a high traction surface like grass or softer dirt. Always the rear.
