Size does matter. LOL. Kyosho Fazer S/L chassis

So I’ve took off my MK2 covers for electronics to put in the brushless set up. Man this stuff is crammed in there with a shoe horn. But it’s clean and works well. My question is how does the short wheel base set up the same as my long wheel base Does anybody know how the shaved almost half an inch in length with the same set up in both chassis

Hard to tell from pics. But everything is side by side with no play. Same as short wheelbase.

On the plus side brushless motor is about 1/4in shorter so with it and new ESC I think I’m gonna go with a new radio with a few more channels to add some goodies to it

I believe, the FZ02L (long) and the FZ02S (short) are two different chassis.

That's pretty common in the RC world. Associated SC10 Pro 4 and MT10 use most of the same parts, but the SC10 has a longer chassis. The same is true among their 2wd line-up. The RB10 is a short chassis, the DR10 is long. Traxxas' 1/10 4x4 models and Arrma's 3S 4x4s do the same.

Some more info for short vs long. The yeah racing aluminum drive shaft joint doesn’t work with the Kyosho brand aluminum drive shaft! Look at pics. I looked for info from Yeah and Kyosho neither list a length of shaft but Kyosho does make one for short and long chassis. Not sure which chassis the Yeah Racing driveshaft fits.

FYI. Anyone wanting to use the Yeah Racing main drive shaft joints u have to use their drive shaft in a short wheel base fazer only. Unless you wanna go the modified route like I’m having to in a long wheel base.
