While we are on the topic of freezing....what do you think it would cost to build something rc that would actually plow the driveway instead of me shoveling??...

Hhhmmm...that wouldn't surprise me....the neighborhood kid I was gonna pay to do it has moved since last I saw him.I am going to guess 3k to 5k depending on size.
Ah dang. Too bad you're not in our neighborhood...my son goes around trying to shovel for money in the winter to help with his own rc addiction lol.Hhhmmm...that wouldn't surprise me....the neighborhood kid I was gonna pay to do it has moved since last I saw him.

I think you could build something for less than $1000 that would plow up to about 3"-4" just solid mount the axles and make it about 40lbs with some firm tires with spikes. While we are on the topic of freezing....what do you think it would cost to build something rc that would actually plow the driveway instead of me shoveling??...
Stop be thinking like a wuzz! What it needs is a flame thrower!Maybe a couple of ducted fans up front to serve as a snow blower.![]()
I thought of that, but then it just freezes again and turns to ice.Stop be thinking like a wuzz! What it needs is a flame thrower!

Not if you burn it to the point of evaporation.I thought of that, but then it just freezes again and turns to ice.![]()
I worked for Walmart as a freight guy in the back room. They do not close ever....even on the several occasions the plumbing backed up and was pushing raw sewage out in the store in front of the main entrance. Whole store smelled like a septic tank....."people" kept coming in to shop anyway.-20 and its -55 with windchill.
Could be worse though. Farther south in Wasilla/Palmer, they have 90-100mph winds, there's sheds tumbling through the streets and the Walmart lost its roof. Don't forget the 7.0 earthquake that happened today too. Anywhere else would be in a state of emergency, meanwhile that Walmart I still open.

Walmart is the waffle house of retail stores. I'm pretty sure it would take a literal zombie apocalypse to make them lock the doors.I worked for Walmart as a freight guy in the back room. Everytime I go south to see my people in Alabama I always hit a waffle house.Walmart is the waffle house of retail stores. I'm pretty sure it would take a literal zombie apocalypse to make them lock the doors.
Last Waffle House I was in was in Nashville at around 3am. There was an armed guard so big if there was trouble, I'd bet you could finish your meal before he got up!Everytime I go south to see my people in Alabama I always hit a waffle house. My girlfriend works for Walmart. They don't even close with fire alarms blaring and fire trucks lined up out front. Total disregard for safety.I worked for Walmart as a freight guy in the back room.
