To add to the stoke, I also received confirmation today that an LHS will be opening a drift track! More stoke, the local carpet track that closed in fall of 2024 has acquired a new facility and is contemplating a drift track if enough interest. I sense a lot of drift comps in my future!

If anyone wants to follow our growing STL RC Drift scene check out STL Drift Factory on Facebook and Instagram.

This build will have its own video on My YouTube Channel plus a series after.

So as yall can see, the rear body mounts have a loooong way to stretch.

Anyone have ideas?

I'm thinking get another set of posts and screw them together using the pin holes, the fab up some kind of cross brace. It would look ghetto af but il not finding much for aftermarket extensions

Could you 3d print some mounts and get proline clipless posts and fab something up?

I'm also open to recommended designs. I want this to be the most obnoxious car at the track. Even putting underglow on it to match the paint (tamiya camel yellow and white).

The original plan was to lame flake the hell out of it and kind of redo what i did with the dr10, but I feel like that might be kind of  mild

heres the original plan, but I want something f&f Tokyo drift/pimp my ride over the top

Are the stock body mounts removable?
You can replace them or just find a few flat spots on the chassis to mount new posts.
I would use white nylon hex bolts & nuts for the posts. They are cheap, easy to make and very adjustable! 👍😎😁

They are but I believe its an AE proprietary mounting system. But actually thats a great idea. Maybe I can use the tower to secure a super long mount

That van body is great!! The headlights look like....well, it looks like your van has cleavage.

Would it be an option to have the body posts come out to the sides or rear instead of the top?
Possibly, ill look into it!
