Thanks! Why spend $40 when I could spend 40 hours getting it right?Fantastic finish! Looks like it was worth all the testing.![]()

But you also only used about $ .40 in materials so yeah...Thanks! Why spend $40 when I could spend 40 hours getting it right?
So what I'm hearing here is that because I've spent so much time perfecting the mudflaps it would be a waste not to buy more vintage SC10s to restore...Plus now you have the plans to print out a bunch of them when you need more.
Thank you!Incredible workmanship!

What if the earth was roundWhat if, and stay with me here, what if I bought a ridiculously huge sheet of 1mm black HIPS and tried laser cutting the brackets instead of printing them?

Sounds like a plan. I am jealous you have a laser. I would love to get one big enough to do guitar fretboads. What if, and stay with me here, what if I bought a ridiculously huge sheet of 1mm black HIPS and tried laser cutting the brackets instead of printing them?

Itās only a 20W diode laser, but itās a lot of fun.Sounds like a plan. I am jealous you have a laser. I would love to get one big enough to do guitar fretboads.
Wait, I got a feature? Not like it was a featured thread or anything..![]()
Thank you! "Stay back!" and the Playboy logo were the first contendersThe diamond plate looked spot-dammit-on! I was gonna chime in with the olā Yosemite Sam āStay Back!ā, just because itās the first thing I think of when mudflaps are the topic of discussion. Clearly-that wouldnāt play well for this platform.. The nod to the forum was a solid maneuver though fosho. They turned out freakinā siiiick, my demented friend..![]()
So this 0.2mm nozzle is magic. No more riding the edge of line widths to get the feature definition I need with these little guys. The "sprue" really helps with bed adhesion, and means no fishing around for the two mating parts.

A satisfying clip, but a bit chunky.

Let's be a little more intentional with the sprue, and slim things down a bit. We've now got cute snap-off tabs. I also increased the depth of the mating joint and it feels quite a bit more stable. This is ASA, and we have a few print artifacts here and there.

Let's try PETG, which tends to be a bit more glossy, and might match the HIPS sheet better. Very satisfying to be able to bring a bed full of these things and get zero losses.

Are we set up for mass production? Maybe!
I guess having prototyped this on an out-of-production chassis that isn't yet old enough to be vintage wasn't the best long-term business plan, but you have to follow your muse, right? Any other trucks need mudflaps?
Thank you, sir! We do what we can, because we must.
Bro. You are dammit dangerous. Freakinā stellar execution.![]()
Could you make some mudflaps for the Arrma Mojave groms? So this 0.2mm nozzle is magic. No more riding the edge of line widths to get the feature definition I need with these little guys. The "sprue" really helps with bed adhesion, and means no fishing around for the two mating parts.
