Very clean looking truck! Looks like its in great shape! 😎

Thanks, it is. Unfortunately the engine on it has about zero compression somehow. Whoever owned it had no idea what they were doing. The factory restrictor they use for break in was still in the carb 👀.
I've gotten new rear body mounts. New rear tires, and a new body is in the works.
Been trying to locate either a new piston/sleeve or a certain os .15 cv motor for it.
I'm in no hurry with it.
I've also got an extremely clean og black chassis gt in the collection also. 😎

RTR version? i used to bash with a guy who had one of those. great truck. oddly enough the RTR chassis was stiffer and less likely to bend at the back behind the motor mount than the tub chassis that the kit used. later i think the kit switched to that chassis. always thought that was interesting.

Oh yeah, the black tubs were very weak at the trans area for sure. I've argued with folks about that. Newer guys to the hobby dont realize that what we do to rc's now days we did not do back then. The trucks can't hold up to today's standards of bashing.

I've got a few blue chassis trucks and 2 black chassis trucks. They're classics for sure.

Mine is also a blue chassis. I am glad! 😎😁

You can buy a new motor for the new GT now, right?

I would think that would be your fast, cheapest option?

I would love to see it running again! Classic truck! 😍

I'm all about period correct, not how fast i can get it done 😎
You are correct though, that would be the fastest path to running it.

It'll get there eventually 😎
