Thanks. It's my 2nd crawler. I have more money into my other one, but this thing might actually perform a littler better. It's just basic upgrades, nothing crazy.

Barbie stickers fit,next thing ya know she will be driving it. Lol.
Sometimes it only takes tires and wt configuration and they do well. The deadbolt is very good for that. Good to see someone upgrading the base camp and sounds to do well also. May have to get one to check it out.

Took both of my crawlers to a local creek the other day.

Wow, realized I hadn't updated this in a while

I ruined the body...I think there is a thread somewhere.

It has been completely rebuilt.

It's now sitting on a 3D Printed Yepspec chassis and has a 3d printed body.

Will probably end up putting a different body on it, I printed a new one recently but haven't attempted to mount it or paint it or anything.

The bed actually cracked yesterday, so I shortened it. I kinda like it.
I think I will paint this and go with a distressed theme, and then paint the new one to look nice. The Basecamp was supposed to be a pavement princess look, and I think I will go with that for the new body.

So, it might not look like it, but I made a lot of progress.

It's been cold and rainy but I am hoping to get the paint going soon. I have some primer now and I think I know what I am doing for the main color.

So here's what I have been doing

Printed this front bumper. (forgot to take a picture before I modified it, here's a stock photo)

But becuase the front chsiss rails are so short, I had to way to attach it to the chassis
So I got a little creative. Printed two of these, flipped one upside down, glued them together, then glued the bumper to the front of the support

Then I will glue the whole thing to the underside of the hood

Printed and painted some light bars for the front

Here's an idea of what the front will look like (never mind the tape, that was just to hold the bumper assembly until I get it glued). Still deciding on a color for the front bumper.

On to the rear

Printed some roll bars

And some fans

Not sure about a few things.

I don't know how I feel about the rear chassis rails extending past the bed

I also have an extra set of roll bars. I had to play around with sizing them for the bed

Thinking about putting them in the cab for a roll cage effect. I will have to tweak them a bit

I have the body all sanded and ready for primer. I want to do some touch up on the bumper assembly and a little clean up on some other accessories.
But I think I am going to be happy with this.

Obviously, I am going for a well used, capable, off-road machine. I will go a rusted/scraped up/dented paint job. I will also be grabbing some different wheels and tires to go with the look

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE.

Going to keep these wheels and tires, and go with this body

I will go with a similar paint color scheme, but a very clean look. Going for a pavement princess vibe.

I will have to trim this fender area just so slightly. Not going for crazy capable at all, purely looks.

My overall inspiration is a Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde vibe. Same rig, but a simple wheel and body swap, and a whole different machine

Got a couple coats of primer on
I'll wet sand tomorrow and hopefully get the next coat on

I hate picking out vacuums. They all suck

I saw some videos about painting and they were using real nice setups
Don't have the money for that but I figured a box and a stand would give a similar effect
Box was free and I had already printed the stand for working on rigs. Figured it didn't matter if it got paint on it.
The vacuum box was just a bonus as trash hadn't gone out yet

Well, no tuning back now

Last night I remembered that I needed to trim the rear wheel wells for the tires

Took care of that this morning and sanded a few spots that needed attention.

Got another coat of pink drying now.

We'll see how they look later

Hoping to mask and get some black on them but they might need one more coat of pink

One more coat of paint for the S10. Got the other body taped off. The S-10 will get taped in the same way, and the exposed portions getting black on both. Flat black in the short body and gloss on the S-10.
The small body will get sanded to get a weathered effect
