I have a used rc10gt with mip cvds. I am rebuilding the truck and I just want to clean the cvds. I was able to get one apart and I cleaned it with hot water and dish soap. I can't get the pin (in the joint) out of the other cvd though. Set screw came out fine, but the pin deal wont slide out. I heated the joint with a hairdryer, then with a flame then with hot water each time trying to loosen the pin. It is still stuck and I think that it may be some threadlock that leaked off of the set screw when the previous owner assembled them. Any ideas on how to get it out?

Have you tried a straight pin to push the CVD pin out?

yeah, I tried a small hex driver and a little probe/shank thing. I'm going to spray it down with wd40 or something today to try to loosen it up.
