When you get it let us know what you think. I know it's to fancy for me, but am curious how it does.
I sure will but it won't be sometime next spring or summer next year. And if i like it enough i might end up selling both my 4PM and my RC8X but we'll have to first see what the reviews are like and my personal long term experience is like. I'm thinking about getting an Arrma Infraction 3s with a DX3 and AVC receiver as a test to see if i like Spektrum's radio systems.

I've got a DX5, it's ok but nothing really to brag about. But then, I'm not a power user.

I saw a guy at my local track 405 RC Raceway in OKC he had a DX5C and i didn't see him have any issues with it. I considered getting the new DX6C and 2 or 3 receivers along with it to test Spektrum's platform out before shelling out $700 for the iXSR or buying a Spektrum equipped RTR i want (example. Arrma Infraction 3s).

I just ordered mine since it was a deal on the remote and receiver. I already had a spektrum receiver laying around for this build, but couldn’t pass up getting an extra receiver for the same price as the remote alone. 🤷‍♂️

I considered it but i might wait for the reviews for the iXSR and if they get good reviews and is a solid radio i'll definitely get one sometime next year maybe spring or summer.

For $700 when a middle of the road futaba does the same? $700 when the NB4 also does just about the same? Spektrum sucks, listen to what these other guys are telling you, save your money. My radiolink rc4gs has never let me down. That nb4 is solid, that spektrum thing is way over hyped. I’d rather buy 2 new radios for the price of that. @bill_delong is right, they missed the mark on this $700 radio, i better get a unicorn foal with it.
A baby unicorn is called a sparkle, so for $700 I better get a sparkle with my crappy spektrum over hyped radio.

Just something I would bring up, about T FHSS ans futabas protocols. You can use that newish radiomaster mt12 radio. I believe it does multiple protocols and works with other brand receivers. 130 bucks for that radio. My buddy that experienced and tried to fix the rc8x issues, he switched to the mt12 and it's a amazing radio. Lots of programming tho with their open TX and express els or what ever it is software.

☝️ yessir right there.

I plan to wait for the reviews for this radio and do a lot of research for Spektrum before buying this new radio. Besides it's not like i'll be buying a new radio until this time next year anyways i want my RC8X to run it's full course before going Spektrum. And besides can we all stop judging a book by it's cover Please!

My LHS just got stock of them.

Amain got them in stock a couple days ago but there already running out so i hope that after a few months there will enough reviews to help me finalize my decision. I hope to buy one by my 25th birthday January 2025 if i start saving next month. I might hold on to my RC8X until i buy the new iXSR.

Hello everyone! I wanted to revive this thread to see if anyone has any additional input. The iXSR is on sale now and I am thinking about picking one up. Any additional input would be appreciated!

Ah i see, You want one like me i've wanted one since i first heard about them. One thing you should know that recently there has been a new update allowing SLT receivers to bind to these Spektrum radios i already did the update to my DX6C and it works perfect. Man i wish i could get my own iXSR while they're on sale but i didn't have enough money to do it. If you're already into the Spektrum system i'd say go for it if you have the money for it.

Thanks for responding! The update is what got me more interested in it, plus the price drop! I did the update on my DX6R and I agree, it works perfect. I've started to add Horizon RC's to my fleet and wanted to give this transmitter a try. I have a bunch of Traxxas vehicles on one transmitter and use their app and I really enjoy it. Was hoping the same for the iSXR.
