I am looking for a 5 or more channel, long range radio system to replace my Axial SCX6 radio.
I want to control more stuffs for an FPV rig (pan/tilt servos, lights, sound, and other stuff).
currently looking at
Brand Logo
iXSR+ 12-Channel DSMR+ Transmitter with SR1015T 10-Channel DSMR+ Receiver
Please advice.
thanks.

The iXSR+ is a great transmitter i have one too and it's been great for me i've been using it since i got it although if you a super long range radio i would look at the Radiomaster MT12 with the ELRS module in it the range was tested at up to 60+ miles with the ELRS receivers and it's customizable too. You could also get the 4 in 1 version that can bind to almost any RTR receiver out there it's also capable of 16 to 32 channels the only downsides is it's hard to learn how to use and you might not get any of the features of the rtr receivers that they would have on their intended radios. I'm not trying discourage you from getting an iXSR+ as i love mine it's just i mostly got mine to replace both my DX6C for bashing and to have fast response like my old Futaba 4PM did also have a nice easy to use Android touchscreen ui and have a high end feeling radio. Just look around at Radiomaster's options if you're looking for long range as i don't know how far the iXSR+ can go. The iXSR+ is really intended to be a higher end racer and basher radio not really meant to be as flexible as the MT12 is known to be. Sorry for the long comment just trying to help.

thanks CJSRCFIFE, also, i just take a look at Futaba 10PX 10-Channel R/C Transmitter, but can't find a receiver with more channels yet.
I will look into the MT12

I looked the 10PX for awhile too but i ended choosing the iXSR+ since i already collected quite a few Spektrum receivers and the iXSR+ came out right about the time i was about to make my final decision. No regrets so far with mine, Here's a couple pics of mine.

I used to use an rc airplane type radio + Dragonlink long range 433MHz transmitter to work with my long range fpv setup. It's awkward to control rc cars with the airplane transmitter, but I managed for awhile.
Maybe I just need to look around my home to see where they are now. It's been 10+ years :)

Here's the link to the MT12 from Radiomaster's official site.

This would be my recommendation too.

You seem like a person who enjoys technology and those types of challenges & rewards.
There are tons of videos on this radio. Ultra flexible with user add ons like multi position swithes and more.
There are 2 different radios elrs is extta long range. Its insane how fat these things transmit.

The learning curve is steep in the beginning when getting into programming but there a a few ppl here who figured it out and love them. 😎
Def check them out before you buy 'mainstream'. 👍

Yeah, I came up with the recommendation since he was wanting a radio for long range FPV uses and it's either this or the Radiolink RC8X which i recently found out Radiolink released a patched firmware update a few months ago. Also the available receivers got updated versions so i wonder if they recalled all of the faulty units and released new models of them so maybe they heard me and David's past complaints and are trying make them right. Who knows.

Fixing it 2 years too late IMO.
I want to deal with a company who listens and works to help. I hope FlySky will be good if ever I need support.
Denial of issues and censoring complaints... I'm all set. 😉👍 No Radio Link for me.

RadioMaster is FOSS so there are ppl working on all sorts of things, all the time. I think its a perfect radio for this job. 😎

Again, thanks the RCT forums to give this great platform.
Thanks all of you in this thread to give me great advice.

just ordered the elrs transmitter, and 2 ER8 + 1 ER6 receivers (only need one, but i might change some of my other existing ones so might as well order them now :) ).

Now it's Friday night, and it's time for some whiskey. Cheers.

Yep. Fixed their own issues. Too late. By like 3 years. Lol. Still junk tho imo. Service wise. (Talking about radiochink, uhh I meant radiolink)

For OP, Radiomaster is a great option. Tons of possibilities with how open it is, programming wise, with the OpenTX. And Long range/FPV if you go with the ELRS module. Id take a look at some videos on how to navigate the menus first. It's quite a lot to do at first but you should get used to it. One of my buddies has one, as he switched from the faulty radiolink radios, and he absolutely loves it.

I'm glad i was able to steer you in the right direction looking for your next transmitter although i love my iXSR+ so far. But from what i've heard you're planning to do i think the MT12 might better suit you.
