Alright, build time! This isn't like my usual builds as it's a course and it is small-scale stuff, but it's pretty sick so far!

To start, I took a spare piece of drywall from our kitchen remodel, and I grabbed a couple of cans of spray foam from the Home Depot. I then grabbed a couple of old boxes, and started spraying down some foam! I didn't get any photos during the process because I forgot, but I got some after! Keep in mind, that this is the first iteration. It has since changed, and I'm gonna go get more photos when this part is done. In these pics, I have an upstairs area and a basement area.

Here's a top view of the first iteration:

And finally, in the first iteration photos, my crawler is in the bottom section!:

Alright, I'm going to go downstairs and get some photos of the second iteration.

Alright, I'm going to go downstairs and get some photos of the second iteration.
Looking good.

My dad has restricted the space I'm allowed to use for now, so it's kind of small. In the future, I'm going to convince him to let me make it bigger and connect this one to more sections with a wood and wire drawbridge! Alright, here we go!

Here is a photo of the top view of the whole course so far! I have yet to paint it, but I shaved it down quite a bit, cut out a massive section in the middle to put orbeez in as a sort of water feature, and then hot glued some rocks around it! Here is the photo:

As you can see, It looks vastly different from when I first sprayed all the foam! Next up, here's a photo of a little hill I incorporated into the side hill! It can get up pretty easily, so I plan to hot glue more rocks and sticks to make it a bit more of a challenge! Here's the photo:

Next up is my second favorite part, the hill climb! It is super steep, around a 50-degree incline, and the Ultra 4 handles it like a champ! I think I am going to add rocks and sticks, as well as sand to make it a bit more of a challenge! It actually can't make it up very easily if you drive through the orbeez first! This is because orbeez are wet and they make the tires wet, and when the tires are wet, they struggle due to wheelspin even on some of the easier parts of the course! Here is the photo:

IMG_4920.webp

Next up is the easier side. Its got a couple of little steps that don't seem to faze the Ultra 4, but that's what makes it good for all skill levels! You got the hill climb for the experienced drivers, and the easy side for the stock trucks/newbies! Also, if you manage to fall off the edge, you land on the orbeez or down onto the floor! Here is the photo:

Next up is my favorite part. The orbeez water feature! I got this idea from someone using bbs for a BB gun, but I thought orbeez would be better as they are slippery and cause the crawler to have bad traction. With the orbeez, came the challenge of keeping them inside the little pond when the crawler would wheelspin to get out. The tires would fling them everywhere, so I hot-glued some rocks to keep them in! This helped tremendously! But, it also added some difficulty because the skid plate likes to get hung up on the rocks all the time. You gotta finesse it over the rocks a certain way to get up and over, plus the tires being wet doesn't help. Here is the photo:

Next is the little cave entrance underneath the bridge from the second photo. It's just an extra entrance I added for some fun. Nothing more to say about it. Here is the photo:

IMG_4923.webp

Next up is the other side! This side also has a cave entrance under the bridge from photo 4! Nothing else to say about it other than it gives a straight shot to the orbeez and the other cave entrance. Here is the photo:

IMG_4924.webp

Next is the backside! Here is a photo of the backside of the course. Doesn't look too different from the first iteration, and that's because it's almost the same! Here is the photo:

IMG_4925.webp

Next is the right side of the back of the course. It's the same, except that you can see the rocks from the pool protruding into the right side of the cave a little bit. Here is the photo:

IMG_4926.webp

Next up is the left side of the back of the course! Also the same, but the same deal as the right side, where the rocks from the pond are protruding into the cave a little bit. Here is the photo:

IMG_4927.webp

Next up is the top deck! It's been heavily shaved down, just like the rest of the course, but I plan to glue sticks, rocks, and sand to make it more natural and difficult! Here is the photo:

IMG_4928.webp

And I ran out of space for photos in this post. Onto the next post, we go!

Next up is a clear photo of the orbeez pond from the front entrance into the cave. I really like the look of it, and it added a fair bit of challenge to an overall easy course. Here's the photo:

Last but definitely not least, a picture of the Ultra 4 coming out of the orbeez pond from the front entrance! Here is the photo:

That's all I have for now, but I plan to fill in the gaps in the foam, and to spray paint and decorate everything! Thanks for looking in!

I wanna play too! :thumbs-up:

anymore updates on your bad a$$ crawler course?makes me want to buy a crawler 🤑🤑🤣🤣
Not yet! I still have to fix my SCX 24 as the motor went out on it. I plan to hot glue some more rocks and sticks and to use some Elmer's glue or the like to glue sand on. Then I'll paint everything and make another section with a bridge connecting them.
