CJ's Traxxas XO-1 Serena Build

Here's a build showcase of my Traxxas XO-1, I originally bought her as a V1 roller on July 4th 2022 off eBay from Cash4RC for $400 without body, wheels, tires or electronics.

As you can tell she's mostly stock except for velcro battery strap mod just 20 x 500mm Apex RC straps wrapped under the stock battery holders since i run my two Zeee 3s 6,200Mah hard case batteries in this car. I also have a GPM Aluminum bellcrank in Blue as well as sway bars

Her current setup.

Castle Creations Mamba Monster X 8s Sensored (Currently running Sensorless) Brushless ESC

Traxxas\Castle 1717 Big Block 1,650kv Sensorless Brushless Motor

Perfect Pass QS8-V2 600A Max 8mm connectors soldered onto both ESC and Battery leads

Traxxas 46 Tooth mod 1 Steel Spur meshed to a Traxxas 16 Tooth Mod 1 Steel 5mm bore pinion gear (Have plans to gear up someday)

Amazon Special DS3225MG 25kg Servo running at 7.5V although it's max rated voltage is 6.8V

Spektrum DX6C 6 Channel DSMR 2.4Ghz digital computer TX (Have plans to eventually upgrade to an iXSR)

Spektrum SR6200A 6 Channel DSMR AVC 2.4Ghz RX

x2 ZEEE 6,200Mah 120C 11.1V 3S LIPO Batteries with Perfect Pass QS8-V2 Connector soldered on

Traxxas GTR Hard anodized threaded aluminum body shocks filled with unknown fluid

Traxxas Revo stock differentials filled with 500k fluid front and rear

Traxxas stock wheels and tires

Traxxas 2022 XO-1 stock custom painted body in Red with Arrma 1\8 body clips with lanyards.

Has Apex RC battery straps put under stock holders

Traxxas REVO\Slayer\Summit Blue rear and Silver front shock springs

Current top speed (Running on 6s with 16p\46s).


Here she was when she got hot off the UPS people was originally going to use the Hoons but decided to use stock tire instead. This was back in July 2022.

Future Plans.

Upgrade the Servo to a higher quality and stronger unit

Get a new pair of 3s batteries like gensacearespammers or CNHL

Buy and paint up a new V2 stock body

Get a new set of wheels and tires Proline Toyo Proxes R888R 42\100 front and 53\100 rear.
