Ok I was surfing around this site called RCNitroTalk and at the bottom of the site was an ad from Google and the ad read this:

"Do you know about this way to add water to fuel and save on gas?"

I can just see it now, people getting out a funnel and their garden hoses and filling up their tanks with water! That's great! :D

i have seen the same add you are talking about and thought the same thing.man that would give some mechanics some easy money.

I haven't read that thread before - started to sound a lot like that guy that poured sand though his engine to try to port it. haha

Idiot does not begin to describe it. I might get banned from here if someone posted like that and had an attitude. The mistake was bad but I could deal with that, his attitude and talking down to the people that told him that he was an idiot, especially him racing with the oil light on and then calling other people immature, just made me want to strangle him.

I now have a new folder in my favorites section called "dumbest thread ever" I'll post the collection of the top five I can find in a few months.

Mothballs work wonders for that extra bit of ethanol, water doesn't work, but a bottle of Jack Daniels works better.

Are you are a member on cincystreetscene? I've also read the sand one but I couldn't find it. There was also a guy who was flushing his oil sludge out with a waterhose and decided that he should crank it up to circulate the water...now that was hilarious.

Damn it again!! I've got it all backwards. I have been adding gas to my water all this time! No wonder no one swims in my pool anymore.

Most fuel is watered down enough.. It happens pretty regularly actually. (Not by the consumer but by the gas companies). I worked for Amoco for 4 years and have seen it done myself.. Pretty crooked stuff.

Watered down how? Getting actual water in your gas (any amount) in a 1:1 car will clock the fuel filter instantly. Water won't go through the filter, but gas will.

Well I have looked at the water for gas site and while I dont think there saying it right I do belive they are onto something. I'm thinking of trying it on an old gen I have to see if it will work. the way I see it your leaning out the mix, but how far you can lean it out it is the big question.
