Tgat means alot tamiya. 😝🤪🫠🙃😆 @Beer_Goggles_RC agrees? Your officially dad material. Get used to it. 🤣
Shiiiet man, the first thing that comes to mind when I hear tamiya is old man 🤣 I still got some young racer blood in me

Though for my love of building kits, those prices are making it increasingly harder for me to stay away. With my lack of available track time and increased wrenching time I've been thinking about getting into model building. But why do that when I can get a tamiya model that I can actually drive 😎

That's why we have monster trucks, semi trucks, drift cars and crawlers. 🫠🙃

Hold the phone. Tamiya. No matter how you pronounce it. Yeah, get one. (or Kyosho) They've got good stuff. No question. If you want to race? Nah.

As for the segment of the forum, how would you categorically catagorize a Tank? I'm still thinking "Military" Where do users put a Blue Angel aircraft? Probably in the "Aircraft" section. But still....IDK. I'm too new here.

That's what I thought of. I just watched that. 😝🤪🫠🙃

Billy Madison was the movie. 🫡
Billy Madison was when he had to go back to school "To tell Dad that I'm not a fool" So he can take over the hotel empire. (so many classic lines from that movie "What day is it today? October? No, it's nudie magazine day! LMAO)

Happy Gilmore was the golf one. Recently came out with Happy Gilmore 2. Which is worth the watch. Love that stuff.

Oh, and RC cars are cool. I just got an RB10 RTR. Should be a decent 2wd buggy racer. I def don't plan on winning any nats with that. It's no tank tho. Which I think would be awesome. C'mon AE! "Tank10"? It practically sells itself! :)

Ta ME ya... 🙄🤯🤣 Yeah, get one. (or Kyosho) They've got good stuff. No question. If you want to race? Nah.
Tamiya had a few chassis that could hold their own. The Fox and Falcon chassis, Hot Shot and a few others did pretty well for themselves. On a vintage track, no reason they couldn't compete again today.
Tamiya kits always make me smile. No idea what magic they use or what chemicals they spray on those tires but I'll be damned if thats not MY happy place! 😍❤️🤣

Kyosho just dropped the MP11 and a beautiful looking RB7.5 not long ago.
The Infernos have been a force in nitro for a LONG time with a LOT of championships to their credit. Their race experience is shared on other platforms as well.
My Optima Mid kicked ASS on the track 35 years ago. I'm building another one right now to do the same.
It might not beat a new car but I bet it won't be all that far off pace either. My times will suffer because I am WAY out of practice but thats my fault, not the car's.
To discount Kyosho at the track would be a mistake for sure. 😉

As far as kit quality, part quality and overall completed RC quality, Kyosho is without question one of the best quality kits you can buy. The plastic is indeed, fantastic!
For anyone who enjoys the build, enjoys tinkering and racing, Kyosho is a great brand.

Happy racing with the RB10!!! I'd love to hear a real review once you get it dialed! 👍😎

noooooooo, i love short course!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:
and i love trucks that handle properly and that don't parachute or blow over backwards off jumps.
i was more tolerant of the less than desirable performance when they at least looked scale. but racers turned them aero to fix the short comings and now they look like mutated/melted trash.

I'd do oval. But it's all "road racing" these days. No Left Turn Only stuff, at least where I live.

I raced oval once.

It was actually really cool. It was really because of the track/shop support. I came in as a kid with my Losi JRXT thinking their outdoor dirt track was going to be open. But anyways, today was indoor carpet oval day, and they were like "Okay, here's what you need". Mostly it was sponge tires and a body they let me borrow oh and a bigger pinion gear.

Then suspension. Never stiffened up that hard until I met my wife. HA. Carpet with carpet berms. It was cool. Almost won, but alas, nailed a corner in the last few seconds and it was all over.

I'd do it again. That track/shop doesn't exist anymore. It was a looooong time ago.

Never run on a carpet with berms....but I would. Doesn't matter to me....dirt, carpet, or asphalt...oval is fun. The carpet oval by me they set up as a road course sometimes and use for other things. My luck with timing it right is poor where it's setup for oval and I have the right car with me.
