I noticed the RC Categories section is uneven. What would you add?

Having just finished painting a tank, maybe military models?

Vintage. Old stuff from the 80's a such. Cars that a lot of us started out with.
This. The 80’s and 90’s had the some of the most unique cars where manufacturers were trying anything and everything. Although 2000 to the 2010 was a huge decade for RC. The biggest shift IMO. The technology and leap in designs during that time frame should be studied. 🤣

Shift from 27mhz to 2.4ghz, NiMh to LiPo’s, brushed to brushless, the emergence of the modern extreme bashers, insane race kits, etc. I don’t think the hobby has really seen that big of a shift since then to be honest lol

Vintage for sure. And make it 1995 and older.
id go up to 2000ish. Losi XX platform came out in 94 and ran until 2000. AE B2/T2 came out in 95 and ran until 97. the third gen lasted until 2003.
2000 also puts you just, if not right on the nitro monster truck craze (i think the tmaxx came out in 2000) so the nitro monster truck talk can stay in the monster truck section.
at least with 1/10 off road it seems to make sense.

That’s not vintage. 🤷🏻‍♂️

in 1995 a car made in 1970 was a classic car. by that standard a 2000 Honda Civic is a classic car, but we don't call it one (even though they're becoming collectable). so it depends on how we choose to define "vintage".
are we judging by a date of manufacture view point, a generation viewpoint, a technological view point. I'm in my early 40's, so a car that was around when i was 15 is now 27 years old. feels vintage to me at least.
and wtf do we do with the traxxas rustler/bandit/stampede? and would we count re-releases as vintage sense they aren't exact replicas and have been updated in some ways?

If it's older than 25 years old it's eligible for historic tags 🫠
