Time to get this started! From just opening the box I can tell this is premium. So many shiny aluminum parts. The manual looks very nice and descriptive. It even includes "pro tips".

It comes with all the necessary fluids

First up is the diffs. There is a discrepancy here. The manual shows the planetary gears pins as seperate, but they are actually attached to the diff cover. There are 3 on each side, so it is going to be quite difficult to get them together. Ill have to get the gears and washers all set up and try and hold them from slipping off with diff fluid while I mash it together.

for the price it damn well better be

The diffs are tricky, but I used a suggestion someone gave me: Use a little bit of diff fluid on the planetary gears/washers on the second half and it will act like temporary glue. It worked! One diff down.

These shocks went together so smoothly. They slightly tapered the opening of the shock rod ends so it would go over the threads a bit before biting in. That made starting the threads effortless.

Progress! I've said it before, but I'll say it again... you really gotta pay attention to the details! I'm a little slow by nature, do I had to scratch my head a few times...

I really like that the kit actually came with 2x pinions. Also, they added an extra idler gear in the rear to reverse the rotation. This allows you to use 2 normal forward rotation motors instead of one forward and one reverse.

One thing I don't like is the organization of the parts bags. By the time you get to page 12 of the manual you have parts laying around everywhere from different bags waiting to be used.

When I am building, I use small tupperware containers to dump the parts bags in as they get opened.
Easy to keep track of the chaos that way.:thumbs-up::cool:

Me too...usually. I grabbed a few packs of these from Target for dirt cheap.
