So, what are you doing, exactly?

That does not look like fun work.

Caught the septic tank literally a day or two before there would’ve been a sizable problem.. Thank god..

I had noticed while blowing/burning all the leaves, and laying down 17gal of grass killer that the 3” waste pipe clean out just next to the stair stringer was loose, and that there was a very small amount of water just beside it… Now we’ve had almost 3wks straight of rain (kawk-blocking me on my track work), and I’ve seen occasional puddles all around the back yard in random places after far less rain.. Went to pull the cap just to be diligent-and the entire pipe from the clean out pulled out of the ground. Awesome… Waste water was about 2” shy of ground level… Even MOARRRR awesome…

Let my landlord know, and he came out the following morning to replace the cleanout, and expose the tank.. Get to the tank, and whomever exposed it last, broke the top just next to the door. Amazeballs.. Somehow kept BOTH broken pieces of the top from falling in the tank. Tank FULL… and also full of GREASE… Previous tenant was a real moron.. Also tampons, tampon plastic APPLICATORS 😳🤷🏻‍♂️🙄, Salem 100 cigarette packs, Ziploc sandwich bags, I mean the list doesn’t end..

I take care of the cleanout situation, and my landlord gets a pump truck out the following morning-THIS morning… Pump the tank, we repair the top/cover/door, and then verify the dump pipe is flowing.. Nope-slam full of grease… Amazing.

So we run the bladder/hose about 30-35’ out, and it’s unable to continue down the corrugate pipe. So we grab the Kubota.. So that’s what’s going on in these photos… Following the dump tube, to the drain pipe, and on down to the leach field. Just need it to flow down to it, so we wanna find the clog, replace the drain pipe down to it, and backfill.. I’ll have plenty of refresher hours on the old B21 by the time I can start dragging, and grading… Grass is dead AF.. -so there’s that.. 😅🤷🏻‍♂️

Sounds like somebody is blaming the previous tenants for their own bad habits, shame on you! 😜 🤣

He knows me pretty well, and isn’t even close to worried about that lol… I couldn’t have pulled this off if I dumped entire pans of bacon grease down my drain everyday for two years straight. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

I’m just beyond stoked that this happened when it did, and not a couple weeks from now when there’s a legit 1/8 off-road track sitting here.. THAT would’ve sucked to have to tear up..😅

I’ve been there before as well… also done PLENTY of well work..you know-in the middle of the night… and the rain.. 🤷🏻‍♂️😅
I'm digging trenches in the rain so the house doesn't flood. Shoes are soaked

You really should think about digging trenches in the dirt... ;)

I'm off this week. Started off getting car washed, and then grocery shopping this morning. Had lunch. Blew dropped acorn infestation off last corner of lawn, then started mowing. Half through mowing, at 2:30pm, went in and started baby ribs in the oven. By 4pm, mowing, weeding wracking, and clippings cleaning was complete.
Now, waiting for ribs to get done for dinner.

Spent the day with my Dad. We fixed a broken door. Then ate steak tips on the porch.
It was nice to spend some time with him.

Thats not fair for us 😡🙃
Yeah! Paper boys need 3 week vacations too!!!

Spent an hour removing another huge batch of fallen acorns off the lawn. Then put down the final lawn feed of the season.
Now, I'm gonna hit the showers, and just chill on the couch for awhile before heading out to my son's away soccer game. The game is a little over an hour north, at 4pm. The plan is to grab dinner up there in Lebanon, NH before coming home.
That should conclude the final day of my staycation.
