It was finally an OK day to get some vehicles out for a run without them getting packed with snow and requiring a hair dryer session to dry them out. We had temperatures well above freezing over the weekend and then it went back to the 20˚s last night and got to the 30˚s today, so the snow is hard enough to support R/C vehicles but not too icy/slippery.
I ran a battery through my Team Associated MT10. It was my first run since I swapped out the receiver for a similar one that has a gyro. It really helped controllability on the frozen snow. I'm happy with it; I just wish I could adjust it on the fly like the one on my Losi Baja Rey 2.0. Sometimes I want it, sometimes I don't...
I also ran a battery through the new H10 Optic kit build. It was really my first day running it other than just some testing in the driveway. I really like it and spent some time learning to deal with its long wheelbase and tendency to high-center. The 3S 2200mah Ovonic LiPOs I bought really give it a nice, long run time. I can hardly wait to enjoy the Optic in the Spring when the snow is gone.
It looks like there may be more snow on the way next week.
