This is a few miles from my house. This fog is insane.

We had a big system that blew over that was supposed to drop snow, but nothing. Sunday and Monday is supposed to bring 6"-10" or so I believe.

Supposed to get a couple inches today as we plunge into an extended deep freeze, they are saying might be the worst since 1977. Big storm on Sunday night into Monday too.
I'm betting that system is headed my way after it passes you guys.

I remember a blizzard in '78 here very well. We sled at a church nearby, but that time it was impossible to pack down 2+ feet of snow to sled on. On the way back home, we noticed some drifts along the side of the roard. My friend, who was 7 decided to jump into one. He disappeared about 5 foot under the snow.

So the next day, we thought we would build a bobsled course down the church hill. About two hours later, we had gone maybe 6 feet. That was the end of that hair-brained idear.

So we went back home and built a couple snow walls about 4' high and 30' long each out of rolled snowballs the size of average snowman heads. That ended with one helluva snowball fight with about 6 kids behind each wall.

Those walls were there long after everything melted. The guy who owned the field we built them in was a tad upset while mowing grass around them 🤣

Just got an email alert from emergencyemail.org for some strange reason. It's like the end of the world is coming, just looking at the email intensity. We're supposed to get at maximum 8" of snow now from Sunday night to Monday night.

OH MY GAWD! WHAT WILL WE DO?😱😱😱😱

We got over 26" of snow over the course of 3 days one year, and I drove to work from Terre Haute to Indy (70 miles each way), down I-70, through an area most truckers consider to be the most accident prone stretch of interstate in the country, in a Hyundai Accent. The only time I was worried was when some moron flew past me and immediately did a 180 and slammed into the barracade dividing north and southbound traffic.

Oh woe is me. I better get online and order myself 600 rolls of toilet paper, just in case! 😝
