I have a 12.8v new bright grave digger 1/8 scale with issues that maybe you guys can help me with. I put batteries in controller and truck and it works for about 10 seconds. Then the truck wont move. It makes all the sounds but it wont move. Then all the sudden everything stops. I am leaning toward a bad remote but i thought i would ask on here first. Any help would be appreciated.

Battery is like 4 years old. I tested it with volt meter and its holding charge but i am new to lithion ion batteries though. Truck has only been used 1 time before i just tried it yesterday so its been a shelf queen for last 4 years.

Here are some pics for reference.

A volt meter doesn't put much of a load on the battery, so while the voltage may be correct. the amount of current available to push that voltage is likely next to zip... as batteries age, especially un-used, they lose their ability to store the same charge they could when new... I'd try a new battery first.

Battery says new bright. Truck says tyco. Any chance a higher voltage battery was pit in snd fried it? Or are these 2 different trucks? 🤔

This is a 12.8v monster truck the other grave digger i have for project is the 6v tyco. Sorry for any confusion.

I'm afraid toy grade RCs tend to be made very differently from hobby grade so fixing it is most likely not an option short of being an electronics tech/engineer and even then you're likely to need schematics and test equipment.
