HELLO EVERYBODY. MY NAME IS 4X4X41. I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANYBODY KNOWS ABOUT THE TRAXXAS SUMMIT. I HEARD IT WAS DISCONTINUED. I OWN ONE AND I NEED SOME NEW STOCK REPLACEMENT PARTS. I LIVE IN MOUNTAIN HOME , AR. I AM NOT MUCH ON ORDERING PARTS DUE TO THE FACT THAT I LIKE TO SUPPORT MY HOBBY SHOP. I DON'T LIVE NEAR ONE AND I AM AN OLD SCHOOL TYPE OF GUY WHO LIKES TO TOUCH AND FEEL PARTS FOR MY SUMMIT. IF I HAVE TO ORDER PARTS FOR MY SUMMIT THEN THAT IS WHAT I WILL DO. I NEED A NEW STOCK MOTOR , A NEW MINI FRONT DIFF LOCK SERVO AND SOME NEW NIMH BATTERIES , PREFERABLY 5000MAH. ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. YES I STILL USE NIMH BATTS FOR MY TRUCK. THE BATTERIES SEEM TO WORK FOR MY USE AND THEY LAST A GOOD HOUR AND ABOUT 20 MINUTES ON A SINGLE CHARGE. I USE MY TRUCK MAINLY FOR TRAILS AND CRAWLING. BOUGHT THE TRUCK BACK IN 2011. LOVE IT. THANKS A LOT GUY'S.

Welcome to tge site. You say mini diff like its a mini summit? Those are supposedly still being made.

As for the 1/10 erevo or summit those are gone. Ebay or traxxas will be your best bet for parts as thry dry up. Alot of hobby shops sell on the bay.

Welcome aboard!! The parts you seek aren't really specific to the summit as motors, servos, and batteries are pretty much universal. I advise you not to seek factory traxxas parts as the aftermarket options are similar in price and superior in quality.

Mountain Home huh? I lived just outside M.H. on the other side of Norfork in a tiny town called Elizabeth. Worked in M.H. for 5 years or so. Long enough to know your hobby shop options are pretty limited without a road trip. I heard there was a little shop in Midway for a while but I dont think it lasted very long.

Id look at amainhobbies, horizinhobby, or as others mentioned, scamazon.

thanks for the feedback guy's. I can't believe Traxxas let the summit go. I thought the truck was one of there top sellers. I guess I better stock up on parts. I would send a pic of my truck but I am a noob when it comes to computers. that is awesome I found a neighbor , that is cool. I am new to this site and I am slowly trying to figure this out. so please bare with me guy's. too bad that you moved away we could've hooked up and enjoyed ourselves. thanks again guy's , I am going to explore the site more hoping that I don't press the wrong button on my new laptop and get kicked out LOL!!! thx again. peace.

one more thing , what do you guy's recommend for a scale crawler. I was thinking about the trx4 hi-lift from Traxxas. Ford , Chevy don't matter I like them all. what kind of electronics do you recommend? I will not treat the truck as a submarine. I drive my summit as though I am in the truck driving it. I don't touch my truck until the batteries start running low. is the trx4 easy to clean and wrench on? sorry for all the questions but I want real world comments. THANK YOU GUY'S ! ! ! PEACE.

Good luck in your search for parts 🙂

Is there anything wrong with your Summit currently?

I used to have one but sold it in 2020; they're amazing machines!

The TRX4 high trail is the next logical step from liking a Summit. And can handle any power system you put in it. The High Trail Sport is cheaper. But the scale branded bodies are cooler and the 2 speed and unlockable diffs are a bonus for bashing.

What kind of terrain are you going to

I have several versions of the trx4. The high trail is just that, a trail truck. All the other versions of the trx4 sit lower and are less 'tippy' on steep angles. The high trail does have a bit longer frame rail length and the bigger 2.2 tires and wheels. If you want something to rock climb, Id get a standard height version. Or my solution was one of each.

My inlaws currently reside there and we go down to visit a few times a year. There are some great places to play with crawlers in those parts since the landscape is mainly rock.
