I guess I am just stupid. I get alerts from this site while I am on YouTube. when I switch over I don't see any new messages in my thread. I even hit the bell and the envelope , still nothing. please guy's don't give up on me if I don't reply back. I am new to computers and this is my first brand new laptop I am on. please bare with me. thanks.

What alerts are you getting? There are settings to adjust which alerts you get if you want to change them.

No one is giving up. No pressure. You don't need to reply to every message or member by name.
That can be a lot. We get it. 😉

As far as your budget goes and buying an RC...

I would recommend that you buy the very best RC that you can fit into that budget.
Buy a basic but good radio, esc/motor combo, servo, charger, battery... but keep in mind all these can be upgraded later if you need to.
Don't even figure upgrades and shiny parts into your initial budget. Buy those as you need them, not because a guy on youtube says you need them. 😉

thanks for the info certifiedmike. the alerts i'm getting say for example , certifiedmike responded to your post at such and such time. your post being me. then it goes away. I then go to this forum or to my thread and it shows no communication , I don't understand why it keeps on doing that???? anyway i'll figure it out someday but thanks again for the info bud.

hey guy's , got another question. Traxxas xmonster or the redcat vigilante. I saw somewhere that amain hobbies is going to start carrying redcat vehicles and parts for them. plan on saving a little bit of money to get either one. I haven't stop considering arrma 8s vehicles. tough decision. what do you guy's think? got about $1800 saved up so far. big money for a big truck , so which one would you choose between Traxxas , redcat or arrma. thanks fellers.

ok fellers , I see that the new nitro savages are out - the 4.6 and the xl 5.9. I love to tinker and I never owned a brushless monster. which one would you guy's pick - the xmaxx , the redcat vigilante or the nitro hpi Savage . also the arrma 8s kraton. which one would you choose? thx for the feedback.

ok guy's. the Traxxas xmonster , the redcat vigilante , arrma 8s kraton or the hpi nitro savage 4.6 or the xl 5.9? I love to tinker so I think I would be at home with the savage. remember I've never owned a brushless monster . I don't know a thing about lipo's. so gas or electric? which one out of these trucks would you recommend? thx for the feedback!

I also like the redcat rampage gas powered monster. and I like the primal raminator. tell me which one out of my new posts would you get and why. thx.
If you want pure bada$$ery, go primal Raminator all day. If you want beefy strong, xmaxx. The 8s Arrma platforms aren't very strong, as they are way to heavy for the materials they are built from. The HPI Savage is a very good nitro monster truck, and the xl would most likely be more forgiving in a crash. I've never owned any of these, but from what I've seen they all have their own place. Xmaxx for big bashing, Raminator for looking bada$$, Arrma 8s for light bashing and going fast, Savage for awesome nitro, and I would try and stay away from redcoat, as it will be harder to get upgrades and spare parts for them compared to the others you listed.

Just keep in mind, the bigger you go scale wise, the bigger the operating and repair costs are. Especially for electric large scale rigs, big lipos are NOT cheap at all, and neither is the proper charging setup for them. If you go gas, then you will need somewhere to store your fuel, oil etc, that is not inside the house.

If you've never seen one of the Primal trucks in person, they are huge, and they also weigh close to 200lbs. So unless you have help moving the thing to get to a play area, I'd skip it. They're cool to look at, but don't seem super durable from the videos I've watched of them. If you're gonna bash, I'd go Xmaxx all the way.

THX ! ! ! FOR THE RESPONSES , YEAH I LIKE THE X-MAXX ALSO, CAN'T FIGURE OUT TO GET IT OUT OF CAPS LOCK!!!!!!!!!
Yell into the keyboard REALLY LOUD!!! (You have to post a video of that to make it work) 🤣

Check at the top of the reply box. Check to see if anything up there in those hidden menus is highlighted.
That might be your cap issue.
