Hey everyone I'm new here so forgive me if this has already been covered.
First off let me tell you about my ride, I have a first generation Traxxas E-Maxx 3906. I acquired this with no transmitter, no batteries, no charger, and a few broken parts. I was able to get all that and it's been up and running for about 2 maybe 3 years now. Well as you all know tires don't last forever, so that leads me here. I've looked on the Traxxas site at some and on eBay and found plenty of the same kind of wheels and tires I have. But I like customized. You know make it stand out from the rest. But in searching for something different I found it's actually quite hard to customize something that is considered "vintage" .
Anyways back to the wheels and tires. This thing is considered a monster truck and I'd like to keep it that way. So alot of 12mm hex wheels I find are for short course trucks and that just won't cut it. I love the stance and look of my truck now, I don't want to compromise that by putting smaller wheels and tires on it. But then again if I do find something I think might work for me it's like $80+ for a pair (only 2)!!
I've thought about going to 17mm hex with some adapters I found on eBay. But I'm not sure how well they fit, or if they will even work.
So if there is any advice, a link, you can give me that would be appreciated.
My tires now are the stock E-Maxx 5 spoke wheels and tires. They measure around 132mm high and around 32mm wide if I remember correctly. I'll re measure and update post if I'm way off. But from what I can remember they were around those measurements

I'm not a Traxxas guy really. I don't have your answer. Wondering though if you've looked at Jennysrc.com for ideas and better pricing.
I and lots of other ppl here have used them to source parts in the past.
They are great to deal with. Shoot them an email asking them this same thing. They could be your one-and-done email. 😎
Their products are as described (new take off mostly) and have worked 100% of the time in my case.
I can't recommend them enough in this case! 👍

Welcome to the site. The emaxx is 14mm. If you want shortcuts wheels the traxxas slayer used to be 14mm.

Personally id go revo wheels with the splined 17mm adapter.

Rpm, maximizer, proline and a few other companies used to make the 3.2 wheels. 3.8 are more popular now. Its a shame not many people make parts like it used to be. 2005-2014 or so there were tons of wheels options.

As for pricing this is not only a mt but almost a 1/8 MT. Ebay would be better besides jennys.

Sorry, that color text is near impossible for me. Good luck with... whatever. :bored:
He probably is using the black background. I highlighted it on my PC so I could read it.

Traxxas 5353x are the 17mm adapters you'd need, and I'd suggest to just get something like this.
