Hello everybody and thanks for the welcome. I've been involved with hobby grade RC cars, since 1986. Electric, nitro and 2 strokes. I'm currently working on a brushless build and after installing all the electronics and completing the bind sequence twice. This thing runs faster in reverse than forward. I've never encountered this before and am at a loss. Can someone lend me a hand please.

Sounds like the ESC rotation is backwards. Easiest fix is swap the motor leads and reverse the throttle channel. Or you could change motor rotation with an esc programming card

Hi @Pit Stop! WELCOME TO RCTALK.COM!
Good to see another og struggling with brushless! 🤣
I'd go ahead and recommend the same as everyone else but that would be boring so I'll ask if you got this worked up yet or no???
You can see if your brake is reversed also
That will tell you if the throttle channel is reversed or no.

Thanks everyone for your input. I will put the suggestions to use tomorrow after work and let everybody know how this pans out. I REALLY appreciate it. I just turned 60 last month and I think my forgetter is working overtime. I Appreciate you all and thanks again. Looking forward to seeing some potentially new ideas and maybe offering a little older salt input.

Perhaps I should specify that only 2 of the motor leads will need to be swapped

My forgetter is the only thing that remembets to keep working right!
Good luck with the repairs!

Alright guys, unfortunately, as many RC enthusiasts know. I wasn't sleeping until I tried all the suggestions. You all are Awesome it worked. Reversed the two outside leads on the motor and reversed the radio "DX5e" and I now have a go MUCH MORE faster forward than reverse. Thanks again to everyone who reached out and helped. 😃👍

And now you can stay up all night "testing" your repairs! 🤣
Glad it was an easy fix!

Early day tomorrow, but you know how this goes.🤣🤣🤣 I still have to smear some goo on the body "3 piece euro race truck body" and fab in some head and tail lights and adapt dual wheels to the rear. Then we can test and tune some more. Have a Blessed evening and thanks again.

You'll want to calibrate the ESC to the radio if you haven't already, check the ESC manual. It tells your ESC what is full throttle, neutral and full reverse signal from the receiver.
