the orion is a good pack, it should get you through 2 heats, just charge it for the main.

Welp this morning befor work i took the buggy out and ran it to see where the tune was and i think theres something or my fuel is no good. Any how the front wheels are messing with me. I see that the front driver side wobbles. Gonna check the tow and getting some shims today.

Toe won't affect slop. Slop is slop....also be careful shimming your axles. It's more of a band-aid to the underlying problem. ;-) Have you determined where it's coming from?

Yes last night i saw that the bearings are shot. Lol need new ones.

Ok so today i when out to the track and again had a blast!
I was the only buggy and also the only nitro out there.
Everyone had sct.
Things i notice was i need to work on my tuning skills lol.
And throttle control along with learning when the slow down befor a trun.

The buggy handle well and the last minute wheel find (dirty harry by proline) it worked out perfect!
The track was very very lose.
I found myself picking it up quickly on making the turns and staying on track lol.
I also found myself having to slow down alot which was a little upsetting as i wanted to go balls out!
Alot of the racers wherr all over the place. I T-boned one and ripped his arm off. Kinda felt bad but him as a racer should of been better them me out there today.
Another sct lossed control and again had no choice but to hit him. It seems like the sct's where not having a good day out there.
I ran a half gallon today and that Orion pack held up good.
Now its time to take it apart and mess with the diffs lol.

Hell yeah. That's how you do it! Loud and proud! :first_place:

I cannot give you any driving advice..as I cannot hold back from the power in my hands (i.e. I go fast all the time and consequently am everywhere). ;-) However, my son is always telling me "slow is fast". There is a lot of truth to that if you can discipline yourself, which I cannot. That's I enjoy truggies so much. ;-)

Yeah i talk to one of the guys at the hobby shop i go to and he tells me the same.
Hes a long time racer. He says sometimes taking your time if making good time lol.
We call him doc. He told me the other day he is coming back to race with us which is cool maybe he can show me a thing or 2.

Question: diff oils are they 1k 2k or 30k 60k i thought i told one of the guys i wanted 1k 3k but i just notice i have 100k 60k 30k.

I run 5-3-2 or 7-5-3 depending on track conditions, i always run thicker in the front to suit my driving style.

30K is way too thick for me in a LX2, if you have decent power it will pop wheelies which is what you’re trying to avoid.
7-5-3 is a good starting point.

Throttle control and not over driving the rig is the key to good lap times.
If you over drive it, your going to end up off track or on you lid covered in my dust as I pass you by…:)

++1^^ i always try to start off running slow enough to hit my lines easily, then get faster until i reach the fastest point i can still hit the lines i want.

7 front 5 center 3 rear?
I picked up 7k 5k 3k today along with new bearings for the front.
I also picked up HiTec HS-645MG servos (2)
There not the best but i dont want to spend alot on this buggy.
1 gallon of 20% Byron thats all my hobby shop carry.
Boy did they ever try talking me in to going electric. I checked out there losi 8 2.0 and mugan.

So as i did the diff oil i figure you recommend 7 up front for better bite on turning and 5 in the middle to push some power to the back and 3 in the rear just to lock it up a little?
Thats what i felt after feeling the difference.
Got her back together and ready for this sunday.
I feel that it will be a good thing to have another engine ready to drop in.
I can feel the stress on the engine after pushing a half gallon non stop.
I have another. 28 just need to put it together or should i look for a better replacement?

7 front 5 center 3 rear?

You are correct.

as for the engine, i would run what you have, then when/if you decide to build another buggy, get a fresh power plant for the new one.

everyone here runs .21's in the buggy's, it make almost the same power, i run a buggy with a .28 at the track and actually ran a faster lap with my .21. this was before i put any laps on mine, so me being use to my buggy played no role in it, the .21 just seemed that the power band was much smoother out of the corners and easier to control with the lower torque. But there are other ways to control your torque, Clutch springs being the most important to me, i run a 3 shoe agama clutch with 2 blacks and a silver spring, again personal preference on my part.

But this is all personal preference/driving style and track size, but IMO there is no need for a .28 on a buggy.

Had to get a stock tune pipe for now. Anyone know a good pipe for the .28?
