I was practicing and testing the jammin x2 last night at the track and man what a difference it makes from rtr kit to full race kit. I personally don't think id by an rtr any more lol.
Although my night ended early (bearing failure) I was able to grasp my lines and really put down some good laps.

When I had my lx2e or my lx2 I couldn't seem to drive well. Although I did drive better with the lx2 (nitro) a rtr can never be compared to the quality and performance Of a good kit

I've been going over the agama A8 and wow.
I'm noticing alot of good from it. First I've noticed how well balanced it is and the motor is almost dead center. Also it is really narrow.

What bearings went out?

Have you broken in the B6 yet? Its real smooth. I had a 2013 on mine (and it was great) but am liking the 2058 a little better. What clutch setup are you starting ouit with?

The b6 is pre owned but good shape. I haven't ran it yet I'm still recovering from the big buy. All I need though is a couple of servos and she will be running.

It was my jammin x2 front wheel bearing that locked up. I was doing pretty good as this jammin handled pretty well and then just like a flick of a switch I sucked lol. Couldn't keep it straight so I pulled it off the track and sure enough it was the front passenger bearing. I had a spare set but was at home so I replaced it for now because we have a race this sunday. Once I pass that I will be getting a full set and just doing a tare down and clean it up. The jammin body I painted myself and heres the A8 body I finished today.

It looks really good, man. I'm painting the body that came with that PCR Pro kit tomorrow. I normally use Parma Masking. Went to two hobby shops today neither had them - and both never even had heard of the concept. I was like "you know...where you put design masking on the body, paint the body, remove the masking and paint where the masking was?" Certainly I'm not the only one who uses that stuff? I don't have the artistic skills to create my own masking designs. ;-)

Lol. The black lines you see on my buggys I've actually cut freehand using a vinyl sheet. Its alot harder then I thought but gave it a shot anyways. Came out good I think. And thanks!

So I'm experiencing an odd situation.
I have started to take notice that when I first start driving I'm actually not that bad of a driver. But after a few tanks I've noticed I'm all over the place.
Is it me?
Is it my buggy?
Or am I just going crazy?

Ha ha! My son tells me I am the same way. I think I suck 100% of the time but he always says...."you were killing it for the first 5 laps but then you didn't so good."

Honestly, I think (in my case at least) I always start nice and easy....and then if I get some good laps in I'm like "Hell yeah!!" and the throttle is opened up a lot more than it really should be - with someone like me behind the wheel vs a good racer. Said differently, false confidence. Again...this is just me.

I am all for guys taking the time to give racing a try..... I feel that there comes a point with bashing where your skills stagnate......whereas with racing there is a whole different level of skill and knowledge that a person can only learn by racing......Truthfully I think there are many guys on the forums who think they are hot stuff with nitro who would be very humbled if they ever went racing.....I know I was...

Man I've learned so much its not even funny. #1 thing is the importance of everything. Shock oil right down to 500w can make you or break you. Rx packs can have a big impact on the true power of your servos.
Having that one extra port on your engine can mean the difference of losing my 5 seconds and so on....

But I love those intense moments when your head to head wheel on wheel with another driver full speed trying to be the first one to make that turn or jump! Lol I'm more hooked then a fish. This whole time I've only be able to practice one hr every sunday but now I get a full day every other sunday and a full day every other Wednesday. I'm hoping ill improve more and really get to know my driving style.

Could not agree more. And not just driving. I was telling Jose offline about race tuning---i thought I knew what a good tune was until I went to a track. I was embarrased to even run my vehicle and thought "I need to learn how to do THAT". . That and durability. In my experience at least, running on a track for long periods us what really tests a vehicles strength. Especially when you crash a lot. I had vehicles that I could bash hard that fell apart at the track.

And learning how to make that jump is not always driving skills, but setup as you noted. I had vehicles that could not clear a triple until I found the right combination of engine tune/clutch setup/center diff/tires, etc. That is my favorite part is you test your vehicle in a consistent environment. I also pit for my son and it's just as challenging setting up someone else's rigs based on what you see and feedback you get as you cannot emulate someone else's driving styles.

OMG! Today was my first race ever!!!!!!! TQ second for the A main and came in 3rd place! It ant nerv racking till you attend a main event!

Congrats, bro!!! Just finishing a damn race is a feat in itself (at least on the tracks I've been to) so placing is like you did is tremendous! B6 all day! ;-)

Hell I didnt think id make it past second qualifying lol. I'm vrey pleased with this as its my first time. And believe it or not I've learned alot today about the durability a buggy must pass. Well at least the motor anyways. A rtr motor may have not survived what the b6 did today lol. Tried the hole shots tires today and man I loved them.
