this is what I have set to order to any recommendations or changes I should make? I will be racing this car at tracks near me.

tires wise the tekno wheels will be for racing once I figure out at the tracks what tires to use, I will order a set of slash wheels off of ebay to bash around with

battery and charger wise i’m looking at grabbing zeee 6800mah 2s lipo with bullet connectors but I can change it that if there’s a different rec, for a battery charger i’m looking at a gensacearespammers

also wait to buy paint cause my gf will decide colors for me

NB4, great radio. Love mine, and lots of higher up pro racers use that system. 10/10
Hobbywing LCD G3, Have that myself and its a nice programmer. Like that it has bluetooth to connect to the mobile app kind of like the more expensive OTA.
Max10 G2 3665, great combo for a heavy 4x4 SCT like the tekno.
Proline body, nice
Protek servo, very very nice servo. Id compare it to NitroPro servos, specs wise and price wise and see what is better / which one you like more.
Tekno SCT, tekno wheels, nice
Body clips, yeah, your gonna need those, lol. I lose a lot of them.

Great list and great project. Agreed with @Tunedfrog to post some pics and updates down the road.

My questions are:
1, what kv is the motor of the hobbywing G2 combo?
2, would the newer G3 programmer work with the G2 esc?

Who else has a Tekno. @RustyUs I'm sure has one, and I think some others have them too.

Not knowing what all you currently have in your RC hobby room/toolbox/etc, I can't really recommend anything other than the charger you are looking at.

How much are you willing to spend on a charger? For racing, you kinda want a good one, so you can charge your batteries fast. And it's not just how many watts or amps your charger has that determines how fast it does that. Look at the balance current. Most battery chargers don't have much more than a 1A balance circuit. I always recommend the Hota D6 Pro, which can be had for around $118 from www.helidirect.com. It has a 1.6A balance circuit.

Other things to consider would be a charger that runs on DC current and a DC power supply for the charger, which typically can push more power to your charger, allowing you to charge and cycle your batteries even faster by charging at higher C rates. The Hota D6 Pro can run on AC or DC, as a lot of other chargers can too.

Does your local track have a place to plug in? Do you need your own generator or power source? Just things to consider.

My opinion:

Charger: G E N S A C E D300, or Hota D6 Pro
Batteries: CHNL 2s stick packs with bullets
Charge leads: XT60 - 5mm bullet (with 2s jst balance plug)

You would need to change your ESC plugs to bullets though. I like to use 1UP racing low pro stuff in my cars.

My setup:
SkyRC T200
SMC 7200 90C stick packs (very old, and discontinued, but still running healthy-ish for me)
LRP XT60 - 4/5mm step bullet leads
I use 10A charge rate and 1A storage/discharge rate (due to my charger specs)

1. the motor is 4000kv, I had seen some people say go 4300kv however I can not find the hw at all anywhere
2. according to the listing it will work with any V2 xerun or easy run esc

I can’t wait to order and build lol

Yea. The 4000kv the ezrun comes with is 3665 size and sensored. I believe if I am right, the 4300kv is sensored in the Xerun series in 3652 size. But the ezrun series is still a great choice. Most SCT guys for comp racing, I see use Hobbywing XR8s or Tekin RX8s with their choice of motor. BUT, the ezrun is waterproof, while the Xerun stuff is not (if I am still right)
Since you are running a higher of a kv, I would only run that system on 2s lipo only.

I got a separate list of tools that I will be getting as well but covers everything I need to build the car according to what they recommend also added the 17mm wheel wrench as well.

one of the tracks near me has plugs 2 of them don’t for the time being but I have asked in the fb groups for them and people have said they would let me use their power connections

was looking at this charger https://www.amainhobbies.com/gens-a...6s-15a-100w-x-2-black-gea200wdual-ub/p1422770

Hmm. Weird. On the ESC manual it states it can only be used with the G2 LCD card, or the basic LED card. 🤔
looks like I might have to look into that a little more before I buy then

I was only going to run 2s lipos and it seems the only 4300kv motors are tekin at least for now

I would spend the extra $20 and grab the Hota.

You will however also need adapter cables to go from XT60 to whatever your batteries use. Those do come with that gensacearespammers charger. But not listing the balance current that charger has leads me to think it may be kinda weak. Even the D300 only has a 1.2A balance circuit.

For making adaptor cables, I just buy a stockpile of XT60's and whatever connectors my batteries use, and various wire gauges and heat shrink tubing and make my own. That's kinda fun actually.

For informational purposes only:
When your battery charger gets a cell topped off at 4.2v, it still continues to charge that cell, but also keeps draining it off to keep from overcharging it. From this point on, the balance circuit kicks in, and your "once was charging at 10A" cycle now drops down to your balance circuit rating. So with the D300, that would drop to 1.2A for the remainder of the charge cycle. The Hota would drop to 1.6A. It may not seem like much, but .4A difference on a high mAh pack can be a fairly noticeable difference.

Another cool feature - the Hota has a built in power supply cycle which will allow you to turn your charger into a psu to power things like servo testors, fans, tire warmers, etc. Not many chargers have this feature.

Sounds like ill put the Hota on my wishlist for my next charger instead of the gens.

Not on the topic, but do yall like to just have 1 charger, or do you like to have 2 chargers and 1 as a "at home" and "spare" charger?
If I were racing, I'd buy a decent power supply and have me a nice iCharger or an ISDT. I'd keep my Hota for use at home.

hmm okay so it looks like I’d just need adapter cable and balance board with the hota charger is this correct?

Aside from the adaptor cables, just buy a 6s balace extension. This does two things. It keeps you from constantly plugging balance leads into your charger and wearing out the balance connector port. It also makes it easier to plug short stumpy balance leads in.

These are new, and SWEET!
4Pcs JST-XH Balance Cable 2-6S 3S Lipo Battery Balance Charger Extend Expansion Plug Leads Adapter Conversion Line for RC Vehicles Lipo Battery Charging https://a.co/d/fj8Jyee

Those allow you to plug any LiPo from 2 to 6s in. AWESOME.

ah I see what to do with that after looking at pictures lol I was just gonna get a balance board that has the different plugs but i’ll go with that

this connection to charge looks to be wild lol, so the batteries come with bullet to deans then i’ll get a deans to xt60 adapter to use for the charger side and maybe use to test the car and then get the bullets connectors soldered on at a LHS

I would save about $20-50 and get one of these servos instead….
https://nsdrcscaleparts.com/collections/servos

My eb48 uses the rs500b, my sct410.3 uses the rs450. Both great and fast enough. Even the low pro racing servo would save you $50.
