Oh man... I am really thinking about getting a UDR

Unfortunately it sounds like you have the classic problem so many do. The udr is meant to be a trophy truck. It has to be light enough the suspension will be very active.....heavy duty enough to bash will mean heavier springs and oil slowing everything down
My problem is that I want it to drive it like it's meant to, but I dont really have that kind of terrain. I have a couple big open fields with some knolls that can be jumped. If I lived in the Eastern side of Washington, it would be a different story. I'm not much of a basher and dont care to send things 20 feet in the air. I wish I had some nice dirt tracks near me.

I actually had a Mojave 6s EXB a few years back. I put a max6/1650kv combo in it. I hated the in-air unpredictability of it. I even put Scorched RC inner fenders and other upgrades. I would send it off a jump, it would be sailing, and the it would get some air under it and go straight nose up.
But that is the beauty of having the wheels covered by a wide body. Knowing the limits and having reasonable expectations will make for a more enjoyable RC experience. I'm surprised at the Mojave 6S hatred. The larger bigger heavier RCs usually fly so much 'more better' when battling changing air flow 😁 I mean, there is a reason why I got rid of my poster children of unpredictability 2wd SCTs.

I'm rootin' for ya. 😁:thumbs-up:

I assume they are not your open fields to build the track you are looking for.
Anywhere with a not so well maintained dirt parking lot? I got a dog park/recreation area where the lot is mostly just whatever it becomes with people driving in and out.

This was backing 2021... I've learned a lot since then. If I had the Mojave today, it would be a different story. I've learned a lot since then. That max6/1650 was a bit to crazy for me at the time. I would go full throttle and the Mojave would fly, hit a little bump, pop a wheelie, and then do a backflip🤣. In my inexperience and ignorance I gave up on it, regrettably.
