Also to be clear-I’m absolutely recommending “race grade” kits for bashing. It’s exactly what I do, and have done for the last 20yrs wether also racing or not.. absolutely more durable, better components, better hardware, and don’t need a ton of upgrades to be capable. And of course-what @CertifiedMike mentioned-built by YOU. @332_RC is dead on with what he’s saying about his buddy too-I don’t race wallets anymore. The fun absolutely goes out the window for 95% of us when that happens. That being said; I have also attempted SINCE my serious racing days to run “quality” RTR’s.. I had an absolutely BULLETPROOF Arrma Talion 1/8 brushless truggy, outfitted with the perfect amount of aftermarket goodies without going overboard, as well as top notch aftermarket electronics. It just wasn’t nearly as capable, reliable, or fun to work on/maintain as my kit vehicles. I quickly unloaded it, and picked up another Tekno for Mrs. Littlemotor, and SHE couldn’t be happier with the change.. RTR ANYthing eats parts faster than any top tier kit manufacturer’s vehicle. Many will get upset about this statement too, but it’s the truth; so does 6s 🤷🏻‍♂️. Also the fact that this isn’t just a one night stand to the hobby. Now that it’s been established you’re in there like swimwear, and are already feeling the need for a proper non RTR radio setup (which can, and should run several vehicles-i also understand you have multiple drivers), a kit is where it’s at for sure. 🍻🤘
Yep , Tekno for sure. No use dancing around the obvious.

I'd check the continuity of them balance wires/plugs.
Hota D6 Pro thread in the Electronics section of the forum.... Hota D6 pro questions

Edit: By me pointing out the above thread, I'm just trying to keep information in the right places so it may be easier to find should another person have same issues with same item.

Make sure the balancing plug is clean and no debris is in there. Also make sure none of the pins are bent. Check wire connection points. Most of the time it's a bad wire that causes charging error messages.

I certainly think balance wires are the root of a lot of problems. I started using those protective cases for JST-XH plugs on all my batteries after one of my LiPo packs came with one already clipped to the plug. Gives me more secure grip as I'm yanking plugs apart.

These look like a good idea! My hands are big and don't play well with these tiny plugs.

$800 budget…
I'm currently planning out a vanquish vs410 build that will likely be just about that after all said and done…
-Vs410 straight axle builders kit
-Phoenix body/interior/cage set
-paint
-led lights and controller
-hobbywing fusion pro
-some sort of direct power steering servo
-cheapo dig and shift servos
-already have tires and wheels

Sounds like $800 lol

Definitely a good idea. I need to get some. And I tried two different batteries, and I tried both ports and got the same thing : “ abnormal balancer port connection”.

Does everything look correct on the screen?

Did you try connecting the battery balance connector directly to the charger, just to rule out the extension cable?
I can do that? Not sure it’ll reach but I’ll try anything. But I have tried a few different extensions already. Wondering if I got a lemon. I might have to try a new charger even though I just got this one.

And today is the last day I can return it to Amazon if I choose to do so.

You’re already talking about replacing electronics with the Sworkz, and the transmitter/receiver itself also-and this is EXACTLY where RTR’s get people. By the time you’re a month in (or less-I’ve seen your RTR MT sir, lol…), you’ve got more money in it than you would’ve with a kit, and you’d have learned more, HAD more, and been happier with your purchase for sure.

Your balance cable is plugged in on the wrong end. That’s for a 6 s battery, plug your smaller ones in away from the red wire on the adapter cable

What are these called? I wanna search them and buy some tonight.

Good advice. Thanks guys.

I need more advice … I’m currently trying to put my battery in storage mode (like I’ve done numerous times after driving the MT10). But this time I’m having trouble and I don’t know why. View attachment 208307View attachment 208308View attachment 208309
Unplug and reconnect the balance lead a couple times. I've had that happen many times, not hard to get some debris stuck in the balance connectors. Also have had them get sloppy after years of usage where they just don't maintain a good connection anymore.

Turns out, I had my cable plugged into the wrong end of the adapter. All is good now.
