With an $800 budget , what would you get?

Kraton 6s if we didn't already have one. But since I have been wanting one for a long time now, a Traxxas UDR would be what I'd probably get.

Used Tekno ET48 2.0 FOR SURE.

That’s what this was:

You know what they say; “One man’s trash….”… -and trash is CHEAP. 😜

You could ABSOLUTELY do one used in decent shape for under 800bones ready to rock with the right guidance..

Yeah , used is always a possibility. Did someone say there is a section in here where you buy and sell RC stuff? I’d be a little hesitant to buy used trucks because I feel like most vehicles would have been beat up pretty good. But I know next to nothing about this stuff.

See my ninja-edited post lol…

Yes, there’s a classifieds here as well. Likely light on 1/8 stuff though lol..
The owner of this forum also runs a Tekno forum fwiw.. And if you’re on Fakebook, there’s a reasonable buy, sell, trade group I used to moderate.. It’s reasonably well vetted to keep scammers and bs out as well.. I also know a couple guys that get used stuff in good shape on the regular. One of whom sold me the above truggy for a smokin’ deal.

That looks insane 👍 Do you have it set up for racing?
Thanks sir!

The beauty of a 1/8 truggy is that you can do ANYTHING with it, and it is super easy to learn with, and they don’t get much more durable…

If you have time for some reading material/decent learning session…

Easier than trying to dig through user threads for sure…

You don’t have to go as “all in” as I typically do, and will still have a plenty capable, absolutely reliable, and CRAZY durable truck for far less time, money, and wrenching… But it’s a good overview of what makes them tick..

They’re decent reads, but include a fair amount of useful tips/tricks/modifications etc., and why I do them.. And a TON of detailed photos throughout..

Good luck! 🤣🍻🤘

Id get a drag slash and put a 6s Arrma motor and ESC in it...
You'd be much better off putting an actual drag setup in it and running 2S. Not sure why you'd want to put a 6S in it. As far as drag cars go, you could build a much better drag kit with $800 than a Traxxas.

This drag Slash was built for far less than $800, and it a Tekin Eliminator and RX8 in it.
