The little things in hobby that make it easier to enjoy the simple process of plugging/unplugging those tiny balance plugs....

The JST-XH protective cases/grips certainly have proved themselves to be a great addition to my fumbling fingers. I can't begin to tell you how many tiny 22awg wires & plugs I've repaired over the years. I used to put E6000 and heat shrink around the plug/wires. With a molded case wrapping around the plug/wires, I feel a more secure grip of everything is achieved.

I agree. All my packs have these AB clips on them. I'm thankful that many of the packs i bought came with the AB clips already on them, but I certainly bought a bag of clips for those that don't.

Yes, one of my Zeee packs came with a balance plug case already on... basically what turned me on to the things. I do believe all Zeee LiPo packs now come with them.

Nice tip, thanks! :thumbs-up:

Those things drive me crazy! For me it makes it harder to plug in.
👆 This! That's the same thing I said about them, and I stopped using them 15 years ago. I have never damaged a balance plug from not having one on a battery either, but then again, I don't pull them from the wires either.

Yea most of my batteries I had (zeee, hoovo, urgenex) they same with those.

But me personally I like to run inboard bullet packs so you don't have to worry about the balance plug when running in the car (happened to me once and the balance plug on a off brand Amazon battery ripped out) but to be fair the bullet packs are only offered in 2s and 4s variations if I am right

You're normal. I'm the weird one who likes a bit of substance to grab on to when gettin' rough with my stuff.

If all my batteries had those embedded connectors (inboard bullet tubes), the balance plug roughhousing wouldn't be an issue. I prefer inboard 4/5mm bullet tubes as well, but once you get past 4S/larger cell count packs, the choices are slim. To be honest, I don't know if I've seen any 6S packs with inboard tubes the last time I went shopping for one. I see more and more 4S packs with inboard bullet tubes nowadays, but those seemed to be geared towards the racing scene/crowd.
