I think they may be doing away with it.
That's my concern with Associated across the line.. they are fairly quick to cancel and move on. Losi too for that matter.
The MT8 shares quite a few parts with the Kaiju, and there's another company who tends to move on.. I have to say, the Kaiju is the truck I bought back in 2020 after an extended hiatus from the hobby, and while it surely isn't Kraton tough, it has stood the test of time for me. I've had alot of good times bashing that thing. Been overhauled a couple times, turned into an EXT, snow bank jumping, ramp jumping.. been a blast.

Thank you!

But it doesn’t anymore 😂. I got another body to paint for it. I did that one with rattle cans before I got the airbrush setup.
They NEVER do, which is why I don't even bother, LOL. I'll just grab whatever is cheapest, typically an rtr body from a kit breaker. Slap it on and commence the abuse!!

I should, but I enjoy doing them, gets me outta my comfort zone 🤣 and it makes the boy happy so it’s worth it to me. Although I don’t let him bash this body 😂

It wears this one in the yard 🤣

Very nice! My bro likes to make them look good, displays them in his apartment. Which only lasts until he brings them out to my place.. Mine never get past the detached garage. I just don't care how they look. No points for pretty I say, LOL. We always joke back and fourth about inviting some unsuspecting victim to come race with us. We get quite rowdy, everything is fair in racing, no crying about getting run over.

That’s how it is with me and the kids 😂 that’s usually how ours end up broke, by hitting each other (or trees 🤣)

But we have a blast driving them or fixing them or playing dress up with them 🤣

No wrong way brother! Fun is paramount, well, along with teaching the children of course. I respect the beautiful builds that others do, it's just not my style, that's all.

Sweet!! Congrats!

So uh, I know we all been loading you up with our greatest ideas and all.. I have to share this one too, LOL.

The Associated Rival MT10 is what, $330? Well ya know, there is the Associated Rival MT8 1/8 scale MT8, right? Which happens to be on sale at several places right now for JUST $20 dollars more.. :p🤷‍♂️😎

The MT8 has proven to be much more fragile than the MT10... guess they didn't choose a better 'plastic' when upscaling the truck.

If you had $800 for an electric RC vehicle (any type) , what would you get?

I figured I’d start a new thread since this topic strays from the Traxxas thread.
I'd say kraton 6s or the Wide Maxx. ..Arrma parts are a bit pricey compared to Traxxas but the amount you'll spend on spur and pinion gears for the Traxxas will probably balance it out. Lol

Ya know , I’ve considered that. But (and this is gonna ruffle some feathers but oh well) I really like the upgraded MT10 from ParkFlyers RC. But it’s kinda pricey. My self-imposed deadline is tomorrow morning. So we’ll see what happens 😃

well if you like that truck I can give you one more option to still save some money on it 😂

Grab a slider off eBay and order the parts they putting on it and build it yourself. There is a new slider on the bay for $199 (may be others, there is some used ones cheaper). They aren’t doing anything to it that you can’t do yourself.

And you could damn near build a tekno for the price of it.

But hurry up and decide already 😜🤣

Haha , thank you , sir. I’ll check it out. And to make matters even more complicated, I still like that Arrma Typhon TLR Tuned buggy. What a mess I am. How did this happen? 🤣

Before I'd spend the money on the upgraded MT10, I'd get a Tekno MT410-2.0 kit and my own radio/electronics. I'll bet it'd still come out to less money, and be a whole bunch better than the MT10.

But if RTR is preferred, then get a stock MT10 and upgrade it as you please. Hobbywing QuicRun motor/esc combo plus their programming card would be around $100. Flysky GT5 radio with receiver is about $80. Losi Pro, all aluminum shocks from Jennys' RC is about $45 for all four.

How long are these shocks eye to eye? They look nice. I'll bet I could find a car or 3 to put them on.
What model you getting them from?
