I was wondering it if was those. How long are these shocks eye to eye? They look nice. I'll bet I could find a car or 3 to put them on.

I am assuming, its called "pro" and the price is RIGHT!I was wondering it if was those.
I bought a set off a Lasernut U4, pretty sure the Tenacity Pro uses the same shocks. I put them on a Hoss, 3 years ago. Still awesome, haven't even replaced a bushing yet. Speaking of which, JRC doesn't include them. Bummer, pretty sure the only way to get the Losi shock bushings is buying the whole lot. Spring cups, preload spacers, rod ends... about $25 last I saw. What model you getting them from?
Thank you!

I grabbed all 4 for $30 (w/bushings) in 2021. Inflation is crazy, peeps want $70 plus shipping on fbay these days!
Really? Like what?
Wow , thanks for the insight. This is extremely helpful. Yeah , Traxxas marketing is superb. It hooked me (until now). Guess they’re more into making money than making (quality) RC’s. Live and learn. People here have said a few times how they’d definitely take the MT10 over the Rustler Ult. I can see why.The stock VXL electronics are notorious for overheating, so you’ll want the typical cooling combo of esc fan, motor fan, and motor heatsink (debatable-depending on who you ask), the plastic drive axles are bad about coming apart, and/or just plain breaking, and the steel axles from Traxxas are extremely expensive. you can convert to Tekno axles, but then have to use some plastic parts as well.. Contrary to popular belief-the Traxxas springs are just flat out garbage, and you’d want to replace them with Losi, the steering servo is extremely subpar, and will bite the dust fairly quickly (though you’d likely wanna replace the MT10 servo as well, as RTR servo’s are always junk, just ask around), and it’s got a slipper clutch, where as the MT10 comes with a proper center differential.. You may be able to upgrade the Rustler to a center diff-but I’m not 100% on that, and it’s just more money, and attention right out of the box that the Associated doesn’t require..
This is common place when comparing Traxxas to just about anyone.. There IS a difference. Traxxas tends to rope people in with flashy bodies, beautiful tire/whl combo’s, and amazing box art/camera work, and shiny aluminum trinkets (that usually aren’t needed, and most are cast, or 6061) and they tend to limit you on expensive Traxxas batteries, as well as charge roughly 30% more than other more capable vehicles from other manufacturers. They do a STELLAR job with their advertising, and know what it takes to SELL a vehicle.. The other guys focus more on BUILDING a solid vehicle, than advertising.

What are your thoughts on the bigger Trucks like Sledge , X-Maxx and Maxx?
AwesomeNo problem at all, and nothing to feel bad, or embarrassed about-they get a lot of us lol.. That being said-they’re NOT total garbage by any means, just a bit misleading, and definitely overpriced I’d say. They DO get a lot of folks into the hobby though, and I will NEVER say that’s a bad thing.. There ARE also people that had great luck with their Traxxas RTR’s, and still run them today. But, there’s a fair amount of folks that EXIT the hobby quickly after, when they find themselves dumping another $500+ into what they JUST DID drop 5-6-700 smackers on, just to keep it running… And that’s more than understandable obviously.
Bigger trucks, unfortunately the scale applies to the money required… So what you would be looking at for the 1/10 Rusty-you’d be looking at for the 1/8 Sludge, or MAXX.. And when you go up in size, now the 1/8 kits come into the conversation; Tekno, Mugen, Kyosho, Associated, Xray, Sworkz, HB, etc… And not in any reality can an RTR grade truck be a contender with any of those guys.. Also contrary to what many may think-they’re not THAT much more money, and you get literally TWICE the vehicle, reliability, DURABILITY, and therefor; experience.
I think the MT10 would be a superb, and capable introduction to the hobby, and if you wanted to move on to an MT kit, or truggy or buggy kit after deciding this is for you (and your boy), then you likely couldn’t have picked a wiser path to make that happen. You have absolutely done your due diligence to set you guys up for success IMHO.

Absolutely fella-just trying to help as much as possible, and not steer you wrong.AwesomeThanks man. Those kits you mentioned above , are they for racing or would they be ok for bashing as well? I’d much rather pay for quality than save a few bucks and just get some mediocre flash.
Yep, the TRX rabbit hole is vast. Not to say others don't qualify, there are surely others. But anyone whose going hard at it bashing or racing will eventually move on to something better. Or go broke, LOL.No problem at all, and nothing to feel bad, or embarrassed about-they get a lot of us lol.. Agree. I don't do the bling, but aside from an aluminum servo horn, my Tekno's have taken EVERYTHING I've thrown them at with virtually no problems. Heck I haven't even broken or bent a stock turnbuckle that I can remember, and I can guarantee every other brand I own has suffered at least a broken turnbuckle or hinge pin at some point..The majority of my build threads will outline some arguably fancy schmancy looking stuff, but that’s not at all required. My Tekno stuff would be plenty solid with a kit build, using Titanium turnbuckles, an aluminum steering servo horn, and that’s it. I’m a huge advocate of quality hardware, and MIP/Protek Ultralite drivers/speed bits-so I always build fresh with a set of grade 12.9 screws from my boy Tony @ Tony’s Screws out of Jersey, but the kit screws from Tekno’s are actually quite solid IMHO.

I know of literally DOZENS of people who’ve ordered one from them only to be refunded, or worse-have to TRY to get them on the phone and figure out why they didn’t get shipping confirmation because they don’t actually have any… I absolutely DESPISE Horizon and Tower for that reason alone.. Don’t even get me started on the others lol..I wonder if HH/Tower actually have ET48 kits in stock? No one else does..
I believe I did somewhere round here..And that’s SAYING SOMETHING right there for sure… You oughta drop @PainKiller a photo or two of your stomping grounds, “Lumber Jack Raceway”…![]()
