That orange Fox body is my favorite too, but they all look good. :thumbs-up:

The Maxx Slash has tempted me numerous times, but it's not that much smaller than the UDR, and I'm just not sure I could really enjoy it where I run.
Thanks!

Yea, the Maxx Slash is pretty much the same size as the UDR. Maybe slightly smaller.
It’s faster than the UDR, but imo the UDR is better value, I think Traxxas knows it too, the Maxx Slash is on sale now with a $70 discount.
The UDR is not. The Maxx Slash is quite a bit lighter weight too.

Front shock spacers to get the belly off the ground, and fender liners are both must have upgrades to make the truck really functional.

Fender Liners being the most critical. I can’t hardly run it anywhere but pavement or grass without getting rocks stuck in steering linkage which takes out my steering in one direction or the other, sometimes both directions get effected.

Now the more time I spend with the Maxx Slash, a tweak here and there sort of thing, I am getting it dialed in, and enjoying it more and more.
I am really starting to enjoy it. It really seems built tough, lots of very HD bits throughout.

As many reviews and comparison have shown, the Maxx Slash is the better basher, the UDR is ultimate scale driving off roader.

Which scale driving is more my thing. Enjoy track racing too.

I am really looking forward to trying out the Baja Rey 2.0 trucks I ordered last week.
Smaller, but still designed for the scale driver in mind.
I have one of each livery coming, I am really hoping I can find a Traxxas battery on shelf that fits in them.

Size wise Losi is called a 10th scale but it’s clearly not, or rather it’s noticeably larger then the Slash.

How many desert trucks can one man have? Guess we are finding out! Excited for pics!
Well, I think I have about hit my limit on Slash's. LOL

The last slash I bought which ironically was last week, I do regret it a bit, since after 5-6 years they still had not changed much other then the clipless bodies. Which I have been doing the conversion to quite my older slashes for 30 bucks. LOL
Until they do something a bit more significant to them that is likely the last classic style slash.

Can't stand that crazy looking ultimate paint scheme they have used for the last 6 or 7 years, that body got tossed right away. It's now sporting the latest black and orange Fox body the LOL :p

Not counting the Slash Raptor R pro-scale type versions, those are quite a bit different.

Any chance you'd sell the OG Ultimate body to me? Cheap clipless conversion for my Slash 4x4. And the body I have for that thing now is BEYOND ugly lol
Maybe, probably would sort of depends on what body are you looking for.
I probably have well over 100 bodies in my collection many are new.
All are OG clip style, only clipless I have been either recently converted or recently purchased for use on my track Slashes.

This is the only clip-less body I would sell.
I also have it in clip style.
$40 plus shipping for the clip-less
$25 plus shipping for the clip style
Looks like this.

I was thinking a decent amount lower then $40 considering that's more then JennysRC sells them for, but was just throwing the idea out there anyways. Don't really NEED a body rn so I'll probably just wait on a new body until later. I'll PM you if my mind changes though. Plus I should be saving up for Race bodies for my rigs anyways right now lol

Love the collection man, I should visit sometime....

Thanks.
No worries.
I maybe miss understood what you were looking for.
I just bought some clipless bodies they cost me around $50-60.00 complete with the clips-less hardware installed.
Basically just new take-off bodies like Jennys sells.

Got in some fine tip white paint pens today.
Trying to learn how to paint white letters on my UDR tires.

It’s harder than it looks.
First attempt on an older set of UDR tires.
I definitely need more practice. 😂 lol

If your lucky it won't flake off the first time you drive it. I haven't had the best of luck in this department..

Not really wrenching but charged up a pro4 battery this morning, didn't run it tonight so Ill be running that thursday night, storage charge that and pack up my stuff for vacation.
Also went through all my batteries on the new D300 charger and did Balance mode but had the voltage set to 3.82v so all my packs were balanced and good to go for when I'm not home.

Mom said only 2 RCs for this trip. And I'm bringing 2. I'm just sneaking in the 2 other Mini trucks. Lol.

I've been wanting to do tire lettering on the slash with the old discontinued Hyrax's, to make them look more scale, but I haven't gotten around to it. Because I wasn't so sure on how they would look after a few runs. especially offroad with the sidewalls rubbing sand or grass you know.

My next trip to walmart I need some more velcro for my batteries for the reflex so I might pick up a white paint pen or white sharpie and see how it looks. But I would have to let it dry overnight for a good 12 or so hours right?

I did two coats. While the first coat was drying on the first tire, I did the first coat on the second tire.
By then the 1st tire was dry enough for its second coat.

I've tried a couple different paint pens and even just brushing on acrylic paint. Nothing seems to stay long. I think the chemicals that keep the rubber pliant, also keep the paint from getting a good bond.

There are paint pens specificly for tire lettering. My dad had one when I was 16, and I painted the letters on my Javelin tires. I was very surprised it held up as well as it did. It never peeled off.

Those things turned out better than if the factory had done it. Not too shabby for a 40yr old paint pen!! 😂

Yeah, I actually did a really good job of it too. Much batter than my current Javelin.

@CC1999
I actually pushed the tip of the pen in and let some paint drip out into a little painters tray. Then used a toothpic and placed drops of paint inside the letters heavy enough that the paint filled the letter. Made it much easier.

Hell-that’s the one I was talkin about I think! 😅

Yeah, it isn't as good as the one I painted up when I was a kid. Eyes aren't what they used to be.
