Yeah, it isn't as good as the one I painted up when I was a kid. Eyes aren't what they used to be.
Jesus H… You’re a bad Mother Smucker with a paint pen then.. If THAT one “wasn’t up to snuff” in your opinion.. Blackwall only for this non-artisan.. 😂

Back out in the garage working on more RC stuff this evening.
Gave up trying to get monster truck tires onto the Hoss, more research needed.
Put its stock tire setup back on.

Spent an hour or more putting together the matching bead lock spares for the new Fox UDR.

Got my regular Or maybe should call it the classic slash with the fox body out for a little photo session with the other Fox body trucks.

Lol
Thanks.

Not all are pristine. LOL
But I do try and avoid unnecessary damage.
Meaning I do try my best to keep the shiny side up on all my RCs.
Not always successful, but I do try.
I managed to roll my new Baja Rey on day 1. LOL
It now has a few battle scars. But enjoyed that new RC a lot, so I am sure it won't be it's last. lol

My son and I fitted some accessories to his RGT Intruder EX86020 (LC70). It was great to be wrenching together.

Fitted the led light bar to the roof rack.

It already had a light control module so it was just a matter of removing the interior to run the wire to the existing harness.

Fitted a tow ball.

Fitted a winch.
Ingora 35kg 360° servo, metal spool and synthetic rope. It was straight forward as it already had a servo mounting location and fair lead integrated in the bullbar. The TX/RX has 6 channels and a return to centre switch near the steering wheel which is perfect for winching.

Holy Shatner… You Sonofabitch.. I just went back, and biggerized it on my phone.. A freakin’ zerk fitting. You are a baaaaaad man. Nicely done! 🤘🍻
I can't take the credit for it. That's how it came.

Very nice!

I loves me some 10/22... I see a Kidd bolt and barrel, hopefully that OEM trigger housing has some Kidd internals to match?

I'm a fan of that Magpul stock too. I like how it can grow with a younger shooter.

After rummaging through the parts bins, I decided to drop some electronics (Spektrum 100A ESC & 3150kv motor) in the parts-built Slash, along with a set of Losi Pro shocks.

Slash/Thing
It's an ESC fan from being done. The new Castle 1512 2650kv motor is a lot smoother than the non-sensored one it replaces. The new body may be ugly but it is unbreakable. I like the look of the truck and I really like how it drives.

And yes, that's a plastic servo horn holding my motor wires in place.

Can be classified as wrenching but decided to use the ole crappy Integy hauler (suitcase) for Vaca to alleviate some weight from my backpack, which honestly didn't do much. My original Integy hauler I use for my clothes now and that served me well since I started back in 2016ish but once I got heavy into RC, all that added weight and gear broke the handle. And one of the zippers broke and doesn't zip up anymore. This is the 2nd hauler I have and it has the same issues. Well that's what they all say, normal Integy overpriced quality. But hey atleast it works. Would be nice and I would use it for my actual track and race days if it could handle the weight. Because back then with my first hauler I was only packing in a stock slash, 2 batteries a charger a radio and small hardware box. Now it's like multiple sets of tires different tools. Heck I got the reflex and mini b stuffed into the 2nd pocket lol. Always had the official rc haulers like ProTek or Proline haulers, or the top dog ogio bags but it's like 300 bucks plus for them. Gonna start looking into some basic totes or tool boxes.

RC solder experience transfers to DJ microphone tech. Dad has a few old microphones that needs new batteries. Just took an old old one apart to see how its setup. cause I watched a video and the guy wasn't clear on how to install a new battery. I thought you would have to splice wires but you can take it apart more and solder a new pack directly to the board. stock is a basic 1 cell 800mah liion. gonna replace it with a 1000mah one. when we get a new one after vaca.

Check you out dood! 🤘😎

Was pretty hard getting the bottom part of the case off of the main aluminum sleeve. had to take 2 flathead drivers and hammer it out since it was so tight but putting it back together was easy.

Also, reminder on why I don't want to get into micro RC. this tiny hardware gets me mad if it don't drop in directly into the hole right.. lol.

Well now I know how it goes together so i can do it more easily when I get a new battery.
