Still a work in progress. Roomate moved out, I now have the whole house to myself and his old room is getting turned into a work area/office.

I have the flu or the plague. Not quite sure what it is yet, so this has been a pretty long day for me moving things around. šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

Any ideas welcome for dĆ©cor. It’s a blank slate.

Looking great!

Shelving with an overhead light or 4.

Tip - if you get a good light attached to that shelving unit behind you, it will make for better photos of what you're working on. Otherwise, with a light above you, you'll see the light reflecting off everything, making for crappy photos like mine šŸ˜‰

But overhead lighting really helps when working on stuff.

And cut the box tops out of your RC's and wallpaper those walls!

I have some magnetic rechargeable and adjustable LED work lights I can stick to the shelving. That was one of the reasons I put that where I did, I didn't want to clutter up the table with too much stuff.

This is why RcTalk needs a merch store! šŸ˜‚

I've been looking at rubber work mats to protect the cheap Wally World desk I bought and a big RCTalk logo across that would look sick.

After running on the new rocks, I knew I had to change some things. So I widened the enduro24 and made the scx24 less wide. And had to take the battery out of the dirtbike and charge, mainly that is how I get to finding new rocks. šŸ¤˜šŸ¼

Spektrum 160a ESC. TP4050 1950KV motor. RamJam titanium spool. Perfect Pass 39t gear. 23t Tekno pinion. Hobao center shafts. Tekno input cups. M2C rear axle dogbones, +3mm. Been working on it since Christmas. Also side skirt body locks & 3d printed front dam infills.

Power HD S25 digital servo. Ruddog 7075 servo arm. I did the heat shrink wrap & sleeves myself.

Dual 40mm fans on a 3d printed adapter mount I designed in Fusion360. It mounts to a single 35mm pattern on the heatsink- then mount the fans.

Awesome car, Here's a couple of my on road rigs i've been working on this month. My XO-1 called Serena and my Vendetta called Diego.

I bought this car as a new rolling chassis and built it up had different ESC and motor combos over the years but it's now settled on a Castle MMX8s with a stock 1717 big block Traxxas 1,650kv motor and running my Spektrum DX6C radio with an SR6200A AVC receiver

I bought this car as a new old stock roller and built it up to be a mostly stock car with a couple of upgrades like the white Hoons and Spektrum S662 servo with the 25 tooth servo saver from a 4s Kraton\Outcast V2.5 but running stock Firma 100 ESC and 3,900kv motor and a Spektrum SR6200A Receiver bound to my DX6C radio

I think i've seen them before, Cool rigs i love mine i also used to have a couple 4-tecs. like this.

Here was Me and my Dad's original 4-tec with a mechanical speed controller and a TQ 2 channel 27Mhz AM crystal radio also ran on 6 cell NICD batteries. My dad bought it for $80 used on Craigslist in fall 2010 with 2 Mitsubishi eclipse bodies. I got to drive it once in a video but we sold it in Summer 2011 due to loss of interest in the hobby.

Here's my 4-tec 2.0 Ford GT Grabber Blue edition.

It was the older brushed XL-5 model before they phased it out for the BL-2s models. I ended up trading this car including me Sledge and Slash 2wd for a beat up X-Maxx that i rebuilt and is now known as Maxxine.

Soldered up this esc I been needing to solder up since October lol. Used to ole Weller and soldered up no issues. Bye bye El cheapo China iron.

Rookie mistake, don't forget to put on the heatshrink before you solder wires together.

After the mods I did with how wide they are I made a diff slider for the scx24 and got the stickers in for the trucks. Thanks again Woodie.šŸ¤˜šŸ¼ You'll be seeing these in the next videos I post. They are ready to go for days off. Hopefully its nicešŸ¤˜šŸ¼
Oh yeah, bought a deadbolt roller today also.šŸ¤”This will save lots of money for next build.

I don’t know if this really counts as wrenching… but the crazy RC related things I find in my house šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

I’m cleaning out a cabinet… a kitchen cabinet mind you. Way in the back I find this… a ring and pinion NIB for a slash 4x4 (I don’t own a slash 4x4 and never have owned a slash 4x4) and a Rllarolo/WLToys 1/14 buggy. I swear this buggy is like the creepy doll that finds a way back into your house… I thought I threw this out like a yea ago. 😬

There is a thread for free stuff on here if you don't want it.

Unfortunately it's just not worth it. WLToys suspension parts don't fit on it because the hubs are ever so slightly different on the Rlarrlo. Rllarlo parts are so expensive that to get it back to running condition, you could buy the car 2 times over. This thing barely clipped the barrier at the track at less than 10mph... Annihilated both front/rear hubs on one side, bent a hinge pin and the chassis is tweaked in the rear. Diffs are crunchier than peanut brittle as well. Parts are practically made of glass and silly putty. It's junk that is going right back to where it belongs; the garbage. I don't know if I just got a bad one or if the Rlarrlo reviews are just that biased because at the time this was supposedly the "most durable budget RC" according to the YouTube. It was probably the least durable RC I've ever used and I own a T-maxx. šŸ˜‚

The ring and pinion I'll throw up on the local RC group Facebook page and see if there's any takers there before I fuss around with shipping from Alaska. If no one wants it, I'll throw that up in the free thread. But, shipping will probably cost as much as the part does new.

All of yall are doing beautiful projects and I'm over here doing hoodrat crap for higher battery capacity. All the weight on one side caused it to stay to one side pretty bad. But i compensated by stiffening the shocks on that side. Now it drives straight with no wheelies on take-off. Instant traction. 😁
I don't do much bashing with it now since I crashed it into my wife's car... 😁

That's one hell of a lipo battery you got there. 50,000mah? 🤣

Be careful with those stickers! I put some on my car and I forgot to adjust the throttle! I crashed HARD... WAY FASTER!!!! šŸ˜Ž 🤣
The stickers actually look great!!! šŸ˜šŸ‘
I'm not sure that battery is gonna fit tho! 🤣

Dr Steve can fix ANYTHING!!!
SWEET BERRY WINE!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Busted the MERV out for some much needed maintenance and a good cleaning this morning. Also got a parts list made up and ordered some stuff. Played around with the shocks and some various different weights of oil. The stock shocks are terrible and no matter how thick of oil you put in there, there's just no dampening, assuming it all doesn't leak out in the first 3 packs. I had 90wt oil in it, but it was still super bouncy like it had friction dampeners. I finally settled on some light weight diff oil(5k weight? The bottle wasn't labeled). Sounds crazy, but there's finally some dampening action in there. We'll see how it works out here in a few weeks when some more of this snow melts.

Lost a drive pin on the wheel hex in the carpet somewhere... so, I cut an Allen key down and used that as a replacement. Probably stronger anyways 🤣
