Who was wrenching today??? What did you do??

Got in my screw kit today. 1000pc kit, with tools. Decided to get this one because of the 1/4" driver it came with so I can use my MIP 1/4" bits with it, since my electric screwdriver went out. Put longer screws and nuts on the slash and rusty to prevent those from backing out.

Slash:
-Rear shocks - using a shock cap insert and using a longer screw and nut at the end
-Front shocks - using shock cap insert (couldn't put a nut on the end due to front body mounts)
-Rear hubs
-Front hubs
-Front shock tower into bulkhead

Rustler:
-Rear hubs

Also something I notice while wrenching is that the front bulkhead screws where the chassis screws into from the top, those keep backing out. Turns out the bulkhead is cracking where you put the screw so gonna get new bulkheads soon.

Turns out the rear caps had loosened a bit too far, and did not pop of the threads like I initially thought. Installed the aluminum caps anyway.

Fitted the Injora rims and tyres to my sons MN82. I'm trying to keep it scale so the tyres are only very slightly larger. The rims are actually a smaller diameter. The tyres feel great. Super sticky and soft. The og stock tyres were very firm and hard rubber. No traction.

I think it looks good and realistic.

Had to buy 5 to 8mm hex adapters.

I'm going to shorten the og hexs/axles as the wheel stick out of the fender too much imo and hits the fender when at full lock and some compression.

How do you like the scale water bottles and swag bag? So cute 😆

Looks great! Really good looking truck. Has your son had a chance to try it out with the new tires yet?

What's on the bag. I got the same one full of rc supplies. 😇🤣

Nicely done. Take ya some 320 grit and run it around the edges to round the sharp edges a bit and smooth things out. Try not to scuff the body, though even if ya do it won't really show.

Will do! Currently in the process of tearing the truck all the way down (what could go wrong there 🤣)
