cut out the battery strap for the generic stadium truck on the CNC this morning.
so the way i see it, i got paid to make an RC car part. that makes me a professional.

fixed the camber on my project slash and ran all the electronics

Threw on the RPM hub carriers on the MERV, new tires, bearings and put the adjustable rear turnbuckles on so I could get rid of the “toe out” in the rear it has stock. Very impressed with the tires… super soft and HUGE. These are the same diameter and width as 1/10 2.2 sadium truck tires. Only complaint is they didn’t come glued, but not a big deal. Some toe in on the rear should help with the straight line squirrelly-ness and hopefully these tires actually give me some traction unlike the proline trenchers I had.

Still waiting on the body, but now that I see the tires in person I’m upset I didn’t order summit body posts and a grave digger body

Angle those shocks a bit and lower that frame down. It looks like its going to be a master at tipping over. Perhaps the springs are really stiff.
Otherwise, it looks good!

@TeknoJ yes, the springs are way stiffer than stock. Going to try the light springs or maybe go without. Brass helps lower the cg, but not happy with the ride height. Will be revisiting that, thanks for the suggestions.

Hey, we have all been there. The stock chassis leaves something to be desired as far as shock mounts.

I have done the blades but didn't like em. They were only 3dprinted from mofoRC, he really doesn't have good quality prints. It always stripped, cracked, then ultimately broke. So sad. I believe @Warby used some injora flex blades on his deadbolt and they look killer.
On the stock chassis I think I mounted the top of the rear shock to the frame rail directly. Just point it forward and land it in the hole
If the stock springs fit those new shocks I would use those.

I watched a 12 year old neighborhood kid drive our 6S Kraton along this path, full blast, only to let off the gas less than 10 feet from the tree. All that room, and he hit the one and only tree in the field.

You mean that tree hit him? I'm a victim of rogue trees, so I couldn't fault the kid for smacking it.

It was his first time driving an RC car, so I couldn't be mad at him. All it did was knock the front right dogbone out anyway. But it brought the run to a standstill, so the kids only got to play for like 10 minutes. They had bike riding to do anyway.
