So I went back and grabbed amp pulls on the two runs.

Good run before problem

165 amp peaks and battery voltage 13.7

With problem

132 amp peaks with battery at 13.2

Granted that doesn’t rule out esc voltage detection. But it does show same max battery voltage at esc between good and bad runs with full battery.

I think that’s kinda ruling out an issue with the truck itself 🤷‍♂️

We did run both batteries in the buggified sct with no issues though, but it is also a much lighter rig too.

Shoulda had the new batteries by now to actually verify, but usps got ahold of them 🤣

More thinking out loud… I guess I could check battery voltage on the bench with a voltmeter (don’t have a cell checker unless I could run a jumper to the hota 😂) but I wouldn’t get much load on it. I could swap radios to with one that has telemetry and see what it shows for battery voltage under load. I probably won’t do that though unless the problem persists with new batteries

don’t have a cell checker
You go stand in the corner and think about why you don't have a cell checker! They are inexpensive, and with all of your other purchases, you couldn't be bothered to pick up this essential piece of kit? SHAME, SHAME, SHAME!

What are the standing IR values for your two batteries you tried? What batteries are they?

Hopefully it is just the batteries. But that would be a strange coincidence.

One of them is 6-8 milliohm and the other is a little higher like 9-11, but there hasn’t been a drastic change in that, they’ve been around that for some time now.

And you know they the finest cnhl ones on Amazon 🤣

Decided to dust this body off. Thinking of how to do the bed with wood planks and a way to mount it. Proline 66 k10 painted Tamiya PS54.

Just build the bed and glue a few strips of wood on the bottom that will slide between the frame rails to bolt into. Maybe that will work.

I got the wooden cut and stain. I'm using scale bolts to hold it. I'm doing it on top and below tge lexan bed. Just deciding if I want body post sticking out, magnets, or if I want to make a rod with holes and clip it in the wheel wells. Also thinking of mounting it and tge cab separately so I can go no bed or a flat bed.

@CertifiedMike this is how far I got before. I even have chain for the tailgate somewhere.

If you can use magnets, I'd try. That body is cool but its so tough looking that a set of body clips hanging off it might look even cooler.
The split body idea is great!!! 😍😍😍

thanks to Littlemotor being helpful (getting me to spend my money. jerk) i now have a complete 6 gear RC10.

i also needed a front shock pin. but rather than buy one i made one. found a broken 7/64 drill bit at work and cut it down. even put a groove in it for the screw to retain it

Swapped out the Mini Z Datsun's drift tires for the AE SR27 Datsun's rubber tires.
Also, glued a small magnet to the underside of the roof of the SR27 to hold the body clips for when I take off the body.
