It’s been a bit… I’ve been so swamped with work and “stuff” I haven’t had much time for RC. Weekend before last I did a major service on my daily jeep. It had some leaks that HAD to be dealt with.

I did a rear main seal, transmission cooler lines, recharged the AC and a full transmission service. I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled the rear main cap off and got a look at the bearings. Engine has about 180k miles on it and they look nearly new! That thing is good to go for quite a while!

Replaced the stock turnbuckles on my Vorteks boost with some adjustables. Swapped out the stock 15t pinion for a 19t. Trying to see just how much performance I can get out of this before going brushless. With the 19t and a 2s lipo I’m actually able to clear a few of the doubles. And surprisingly, the ESC is taking it.

I was really determined to put a 2s hobbywing system in this and leave it 2 wheel drive (as every stadium truck should be). But after taking my slash 4x4 ultimate to the track on 3s and seeing how well it performs, I’m itching to throw a 3s system and 4x4 kit just to hurt the feelings of some of these 1/8th scale guys with the big wide tires and longer suspension travel, it would have to handle better than a slash, right?

didn't work on the cars, but i did built a spine ramp over the weekend. nothing crazy its for backyard use. so it's only 10" tall, 32" long, and 24" wide. eyeballed the curve to launch trucks for distance rather than high. maybe ill post a pic in here when i get home.

Did a little wrenching on the SK today and tried to enjoy it rather than get OCD about it and be nervous the entire time. Removed the motor, but I still need it unsoldered. The Fiberglass T-Plate and it's pivot ball sockets will be removed and upgraded once the new ones arrive. The new T plates have it's fibers weaved at a 45 degree angle ( "x" shaped). This makes the car more planted to the racing surface. The sockets are made of a material called "turcite". It's a buttery smooth self lubing plastic and is very resistant to wear and tear. The rear body posts are removed as I'll need plastic ones because the body sits at an angle and I can trim the plastic posts at an angle. The solid aluminum posts warped the body, but I was gonna do a new one anyways) The front aluminum post is fine, however I swapped it with a lighter post (still the same length) I also put a lighter post that holds down the battery. I changed the spur gear to an 88T and I'll also be buying super-lightweight rear hubs. I'll also be replacing the front bumper with one that is 3d printed and is flexable so it can hit drivers I mean protect the chassis from hard hits. Jokes aside, I have a lot more to do (and buy) than I originally thought. Of course I'll still need to get the correct legal motor and several sets of tires.

Getting it done isn't the issue, it's actually getting to the workbench is the issue.

Wait-wutttttttt?!? I won’t tell ya this is less than half of what I’m mounting up then… I didn’t diss any Ferd’s-I was jabbing @Lostinthewoods86 … No Ferd’s were harmed lol.. No thievery here-I can’t stand a dammit thief.. Almost 130 individual tires to mount up.. Marking, and punching now, as well as some insert modifications to a few.. Then clean, prep, and glue.. Then finally; balance ‘em all up. I don’t know why I do this shiit to muhseff.. I for sure need my head examined over here..

Haven’t got the raptor parts in yet, honestly not sure what I’m gonna get it all said shipped, then a few hours later it said partial refund for the body but it still shows shipped. Will see what shows up . Gotta paint up the body that came with it though for now

8th scale ebuggy tires with 17mm hex? I'm sure it will fit my in the works Typhon.
Don't really need tires for that project until next April/may when the outdoor season is out in play.
