More skidplates, this time on the Mojave Grom, same set fits both Granite and Mojave. Now I need to find some for the Typhon Grom.

Not RC, but I grabbed a couple models today, I did them when I was a kid…letting the boy do this one, and he’s having a blast so far (he loves the painting 😂)

Old cheapo helping hand works good for holding the parts

How did you get the hex pattern in it?

I think Black light racing needs to be a thing lol
Just did a simple fade over a honeycomb stencil. I wanted it to be VERY subtle, and work well with the wing wrap I had designed specifically for this paint scheme.

Staaaaahp iiiiiiit brothaman! That looks killer!!! And most importantly-your girl is stoked! 🤩🤘

Notice I don’t get the camera too close 😂 still learning. I should have went over the black outline on the butterflies with a brush maybe? I just used a paint marker, I’m definitely not good enough to shoot ‘em with the air brush 🤣.

I really need to stop doing them n the morning too, cause if I ain’t shakin I ain’t had enough coffee 🤣.

I do appreciate the kind words though my friend!

Today I made a few minor repairs on the Umx Turbo Timber.
First up, never repair an rc without an authorized hobby cat's supervision. Houdini may look uninterested, but if you start to do something wrong he will be all over your case! 😜

First up last time out my battery tray came loose. Not good when your battery moves around in flight, wreaks havok with your center of gravity, which is pretty danged important when you are flying. Just needed a bit of glue and good as new.

Next up is the tail wheel. On these little models the tail wheel can get pretty flimsy over time. I've been having a bit of trouble steering on the runway because it was loose. Once again, a little dab of glue, and all is good. Should have done this a while back but kept forgetting until I go to fly. 🙄 Anyhow, all maintenance was signed off by hobbycat, so now I am ready for my next flying session.
