Wish I would have thought of thos before this morning. My Rustler took a good hit and the RPM bumper didn't save it. Not that anything would have with my 10yo Nephew.

My ongoing/never happened yet bumper project involves 1/8" Kydex, and a heat gun. I'm pretty sure that's what T-Bone Racing used for some of their bumpers.

I've used Kydex. Neat stuff. It's tough & with heat, you can shape it into anything.
I have several holsters made from kydex. Tough stuff.

I just got done putting on a DE Racing chassis brace/skid plate for my T4.3 ride. I'd have to guess that it's made of Kydex or something very similar...
