I'm looking to get the communities input on what they would do with an 8'x18' sandbox dedicated to RC use. I realize it's not the largest space. Would you stock it with construction rigs? Set up a mini monster jam? Integrate crawler features?

First off, make sure you are in a cat free zone. Don't want any nasty surprizes 😜

Being a crawler guy, I would set it up for crawling. But you need to decide what will make you happy. If you have construction rc's That would be cool, but taylor it towards what you think you will enjoy the most. Then surf some you tube vids for ideas.

cut it in half. half crawler course for 1/18 and 1/24 scale trucks. drop in some pavers and half mini on road. Mini Z's are popular, AE has a 1/27 scale now, other manufactures do as well. kinda cover a lot of ground with a small space.
Nice. I hadn't thought of using pavers.

Hmmm...yeah, cover it if you're in a cat zone.

Mini for sure. Like a losi mini T, but the mini jrx2's have better stock tires for sand. Crawlers fo sho. You can certainly do both. Mabey set up some pre-formed jumps out of plywood or something for the mini buggy/trucks over the rock crawler space. Lots of options. This is your opportunity to get creative :)

All of the above! Change it with the season.
what he said!!!
id do crawling in the middlt and have my racetrack going around and under the course, like a rally track in the mountains.

make a large mountain in the center to climb up, throw some boulders on the sides to climb over, and have a mini track going thru a tunnel in the mtn, and down arund the slopes. its hard to design a track lol
