brought this home. I looked at this and a Axial Ryft but the guy at the shop came right out and said the Ryft is junk. I was kind of surprised. I am running it on 3s so hopefully I wont have to fix it a lot.

Could someone recommend a decent charger for lipos for 3-4s 5000mAh. I got a cheap one at the shop but it doesn't do discharge or storage charge.

so a 1/10 scale on 3 cells and not expecting to break (LOL).. id get a M8S charger from amazon..you will need a good power supply to run this...also a stand alone discharger like from flysky..I use still today oldschool chargers like brake light dischargers and older dischargers..I dont like putting that many amps back into a charger..looked at the dischargers name . reactor 2.5 -30 amp. with the 2 cell lipo mods a slight turn of the pot to stop at 7.8volts.

It's sold as a 1/10 scale and uses 3-4s. But here is is next to my 1/8 scale FO XX. It drives nice on 3s but isnt super fast which should let me get used to driving again. It drives in grass like a 1/8 scale too. Big tires.

Good looking kit! As for charger If you're on a tight budget Id probably look at THIS, If you have about twice that to spend THIS is not only a Dual charger but it can be be run on AC from your wall or if you decide to get a DC 12V Power Supply at some point like THIS then the X2 charger becomes even more powerful than running it from the wall socket. The first charger can also be run on AC or DC current but theres no change in output power with that one. Its still a capable charger though as long as you dont have any plans to charge over 1C which IDK about others but I almost never do. Easier on the Lipos that way :)

P.S. Theres a slightly cheaper version of that 12v power supply I linked but its only $10 cheaper and its only half the wattage so Id recommend just getting the bigger one but its up to you :)

Take a look through our What battery charger do you recommend? as there are a lot of good suggestions there. If it was me I would certainly check out the Dynamite Passport P2.

The Passport P2 is a 100watt charger that will easily handle your 5000mAh LiPo battery as well as discharge and storage charge your batteries. Anything less than 100watts and you'd already closing in on the max the charger can handle, so if you get bigger batteries you'll right back shopping for another charger.

We have a great article on the front page that might help you as well, How to choose an RC LiPo charger.

I like that one. I like it so well I ordered one this morning from Amain. I wake up very early every day ~4am and start reading when I need something.
That was the one I decided would do everything I wanted. The other was the one GW74 suggested. I liked the Bluetooth interface though.

Thats funny, That looks exactly like the Hitec X2 AC. I wonder if the firmware is also the same. 🤔

Hota D6+. Fairly capable dual port charger (15A/150W x 2) on AC, more so on DC if you decide you want to parallel charge later on.

My old dynamite 4x100w/4x10A is acting up on me I think... if it dies, I'll likely replace it with 2 of those. Many guys on the arrma forum love that charger.

Who makes the HOTA brand? I keep seeing that charger pop up in various discussions in different places. Not that I need any more chargers but I'm curious about the brand now :)
