at least its the most fun if you're into old school 80's/early 90's car crushing 4x4x4's.
A stock one isn't as much fun, but back in the day, I doubled up the 3 stage resistor, with the stock mechanical speed controller, and ran 2 packs to it. I don't know much about all this new stuff. I built my Clod, and fixed a number of other's, in the '90s...

the Super Clodbuster comes with an ESC that I'm told can handle sport tuned motors (?). i still have the stock silver cans in mine. on a 2s lipo its actually pretty fast, in a scale Clodbuster sorda way. very punchy, on a high traction surface it'll wheelie. the only thing that made the truck not fun stock was the steering. i don't think they make a 1/10 servo strong enough to steer that thing. once i went to axle mounts it was all good. and iv added a few aftermarket parts sense.
how you use it makes it subjective, and this is how i use mine.
