Thread is pertaining to mainly the RC18T/MT/B, Hyper 7, Emaxx, RC10GT, and maybe MGT.

Ok guys, I am thinking about getting a welder here soon and was wondering if any of you guys would consider a welded cage. I could make them to your designs, or just use what I do. These would be made of most likely 1/8" thick cold rolled steel, welded together. They would be sanded at the rough joints for a nice finish. Could be painted your color.

They would be cheaper than the $64.99 HBZ ones (price on their website) and would be nearly similar design.

Of course, I dont have examples yet because I dont even have the welder yet.

I am just wondering, based on the description how much would you pay for a cage, and would you be interested?

Please place your input in this thread, I appreciate all feedback, even if it is constructive critism.

THANKS!

Here is the rc18 one I made a while ago. Provides full protection for both towers as well. Customizable aswell. This had held up to a ton of abuse.

Good job, but can you fit a body over it?

For that one, no. I can make them like that, however I prefer to run cages without the body. This cage protects everything, even the towers.

Obviously a cage under the body would mean it can't raise higher than the towers around there. Meaning if you run without the body, towers are an easy shot.

Just my :2cents:
