Traxxas' New Ride - Rally Racer

Looks like they're releasing their Rally as a 1/10 scale now. It appears to be based of of the 4x4 Slash/ Stampede chassis, should be pretty durable. Hopefully the price tag doesn't make this thing hard to come by.

Is it basically the slash 4x4 platform with lower cog chassis?

Thats what it looks like, should be a pretty fun rig. I've been leaning towards a rally car, hopefully this isn't too expensive.

Isn't that typical of traxxas though, to release a 'new' car based off an existing platform?

For the Msrp I'd rather pick up a slash our a stampede. It is cool though. Our even go out and get a Rally Legends car, those are nice and extremely scale looking. I don't know about there electronics though.
