I have been doing alot of research and have got it down to 2 mt's. first is the mgt 4.6 or 8.0 like its size and heard it was tough. 2nd is lost lst2. more people say the lst2 is way better.just wanted a few opinions on them.thanks

I have the MGT 4.6 and love it for the performance it gives. That said they do have weak diffs IMO and are a bit heavy (even for a 1/8) Never had the LSt but would suggest you look into a Savage 4.6 X as I have heard nothing but positive about them and from what everyone says they are virtually bulletproof.

+1 yap take savage x a very tough truck and more parts are available. I've got one and I really like it, can take hard core bashing.

If you get the 8.0 I would sell the engine before it ever sees fuel and replace it with an lrp or OS.
The savage is a legend.
I have an LST XXL, which is better than the LST2.

The MGT is a good truck but I think the Losi (either the LST2 or the XXL) is engineered way better. The Savage is tough as nails but doesn't handle quite as well as the Losi. If I were gonna consider between 2 MTs it would be the Savy and the Losi. Savy is a little tougher and the Losi handles a little bit better so what ever suits your bashing style. My personal preference is the Losi but I love my Savy too. I sold my MGT 4.6 and my MGT 3.0. I liked both of them but I didnt need 5 MTs so i got rid of those.

I own both the savage xl with the stock .36 and the mgt 8.0 with the stock engine as well. As many peoples opinion and my own they are the two hardest engines to tune due to them both being prone to air leaks. The savage xl or the x would be the way to go between these two but the 8.0 is a very good truck. I've had my issues with the mgt and the xl when it comes to tuning but I've solved those issues. Can't speak about the Losi because I've never owned one but plan on to.
