Test drove an old Hilux TRD the other day. 4 ltr supercharged V6.
Yeah no. Not buying that for my kids to drive. Who thought that was a good idea. Thing has no traction in the back end. Too much torque for a Hilux. Fun but dangerous.
Easy fix for not enough weight... 502 cid chevy engine will slide right in that thing! Might have to trim the hood a tad for the twin turbos tho! 🤣

Gotta figure out a 1st car for our youngest soon.
I was thinking about loosening up 2 of the spark plugs in the Focus and giving him that! 🤣

I wouldn't trade my Toyota for anything.

This will be my second tacoma, with 2 camry's in between this new one and the last. One of our boys also has a tundra (it's old, but still a beast) and another a Corolla, always have and always will be a toyota fan boy
Me too. Think I'm up to 9 Toyo's I've owned.

The weight needs to be in the back 😆

When I was young, I fitted a Holden (Buick) 3.8 V6 in my Hilux. Major upgrade from the 2.4ltr diesel.
It was fun. Unstoppable on the beach. Too much torque for the Hilux though. Blew up 3 gearboxs, 2 diffs, 2 centre bearings and a clutch.

I'm pretty sure they make a dual engine conversion for this... 1 front, 1 rear mounted! 4 turbos, no waiting! 🤣

So in other words..... no Holden back. 🫠😝

I've had 3 crazy good deals on immaculate cars or parts slip thru my fingers this week.
Can't buy em all... but I sure am trying! 🤣
Yeah, win some, lose some.
It was like new too. Oh well.

parts to fix my Dromida 4.18's. i have 3 and they are all "broken" in different ways. ones got a bent shock shaft, ones got a couple bad bearings, and one has dry rotted tires that are falling apart.
We have a DB 4.18 with a brushless conversion and all the aluminum bling. It melts a tire in just a few packs. It is a missle that can change direction on a dime, but the tires pay the price on asphalt.

The servo went out of it a few years ago and it's sat ever since. I need to bring it back to life.

oddly enough the one that needs tires is still brushed.
the other 2 are brushless converted with aluminum drivetrain. they're over powered. the one that needs bearings got damaged (ejected a ball) while in mid air. i punched the throttle to try to level it out and it made a weird noise and the the drivetrain locked. the ejected bearing ball got stuck in the aluminum spur gear. i was able to knock it out, the gears are a little chewed but should work just fine after minimal self clearancing. i also changed the servo on those to some metal gear cheapies i got off the jungle website (amazon) they were 4 for $20. they're less twitchy but don't turn as sharp. it made them easier to drive.

You taking a shortcut through the outback are ya? Watch out for Roos!
Funny you mentioned that. It's on dusk, the windscreen is covered in bug guts, the old headlights are dull and my daughter is driving. I'm a little worried about a roo jumping out in front of us.

I bet. We have deer here. And they run 40mph (64.374kph) and weigh up to 300lbs. They come out of nowhere and can total a car. I've hit 4 in my life. Two did over $5000 in damage both times, to the same car, on two different occasions. One damaged every panel down the right side, including the hood and trunk lid, lights, and a windshield, and the other did the exact same on the left. But that Yota should make mincemeat of a Roo 😅
