I just use a lighter to heat up / melt heatshrink. Works for me lol. Just don't let it burn.
Thats only one of its uses. It's very versatile.

Heat guns come in very handle. I bought a Makita battery powered one and it's been great.
yes they do I have done a few things where it would have been nice to have, did some tinting in the lights for my car and no heat gun so I took them out and used my stove🤣

Oh reminds me, I want a Milwaukee fan or a powerful portable fan, for the track.

They have many uses. Drying glue, heating plastic to bend it, heatshrink, heating stickers to remove them, heating vinyl, dent removal, paint removal etc etc

What @Warby said..

Once you use a heat gun for just about anything it’s literally made to do-you’ll never wanna use a lighter on heatshrink ever again lol…

Do this with your Bic…🤷🏻‍♂️😅

You can have ‘em all brothaman.. Since we both quit smoking about two yrs ago, all I use em on anymore are candles, and the grill lol.. HAVENT blazed since I quit drinking a little over a year ago either so…🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

paytonimusrex you made sure you can buy replacement tips for that solder kit you purchased right?

I went from a lighter to a heat gun and now a hot air rework station for heat-shrink.

I bought some more pink drift wheels for an event.

Yep. Or that @Beer_Goggles_RC said.

I currently use a old block of wood to put battery bullets in. And I also have a new helping hands with arms new in box I need to open up.

@WickedFog and @Greywolf74 I'm pretty sure use and like modeling clay that's sticky and holds a plug in place pretty good. Or what ever it's called.
